can't they just bribe the Oscars again like black panther I'd be interested to know how this bribery would have taken place...and how in an anonymous vote would have worked. I mean, it seems to have happened according to you, so you must know how. Fire away. Enlighten us. Or are you just a being a paranoid bandwagon jumping conspiracy theorist.

Hell if Avatar can get nominated for Best Picture, so can Endgame I suppose. its not that simple. avatar was nominated because it had grounded breaking film effects. Endgame has none.

avatar was nominated because it had grounded breaking film effects. Well it certainly wasn't for its screenplay, acting and entertainment value If I remember Logan was nominated for screenplay and Patrick Stewart was criminally snubbed for best supporting actor that people thought he was a shoe in for even over Logan's screenplay nomination.
I don't see any similarities between Logan and Endgame since Logan is a movie of a different tone, style and feel but was very Oscar baity. Endgame has no chance, unless Disney pays the cash again.

So basically Endgame has no chance of an Oscar nomination because it is not Logan!! And again...explain how Disney pays for Oscar nominations

And again...explain how Disney pays for Oscar nominations The Oscars only like it when comic movies are like Logan and they dont even award it best picture they gave it something lower like screenplay. call it a comic movie consolidation price nomination.
Black Panther is not oscar worthy, the only logical explanation is Disney paying for it.

Based on what. Logan being nominated and others not! Great thinking there...if you ignore other factors like who the films are up against or other people's opinions There are plenty of films that people think are not "worthy". I think the logical explanation is it got more votes than other films. But of course Disney paid for it...otherwise your flimsy The Academy only likes comic movies like Logan theory means nowt. And for the third time...how does Disney pay for the Award. Explain.

The way the nominations work is anonymous ballots by the members in their specific categories (actors for actors directors for directors) except for best picture all get to nominate. This is overseen by Price Waterhouse Cooper. A Accounting and Assurance firm. They certify every nomination and winners. They take their job very seriously. Mainly because of their reputation, but also because it would be a crime for them to certify it if bribery happened. As the ballots cross state lines it would be a Federal Crime. And if you don't think the Feds like making examples out of Hollywood ask Aunty Becky and Wesley Snipes. The conspiracy theory of yours is just that. Why wait and bribe for Black Panther why not bribe for all of their movies. The only logical explanation is the movie tapped in the pulse of the nation and the members of the academy took that zeitgeist and nominated against their normal predilection to scoff at superhero movies. Has everyone welcomed you back Summers8 or we still pretending it's not you?

Has everyone welcomed you back Summers8 or we still pretending it's not you? Also keep in mind nominations don't require a majority vote, they simply require a minimum number of votes, which last year was less than 400 out of the near 8000 members for a Best Picture nom, far lower for other categories also.
So that's like 5% of the voting pool is all you need to be a Oscar nominee, kind of takes the shine off a little if you think about it that way, congratulations out of the random selection of people the Academy dub worthy of having an opinion 1 out of 20 of them said they liked your shit, but don't think too hard on the fact most of these people haven't seen a fraction of the movies they are voting on so they will likely be judging based on pre-existing assumptions based on past work or accolades...

Which is why since they introduced a 10 Nomination max in 2009 there have only been 10 nominations twice Disney would have to be stupid to think "buying" votes in an anonymous vote would work...someone would have to be even more stupid to think they did it

They'll give them a few lesser category Oscars to shut them up the way they did with Black Panther, but it won't win Best Picture.

I mean BP got nominated up and down the different awards, I mean I don't get it myself, I think the film is fine, MBJ is tremendous in the film but otherwise I think everything else was above average to good, nothing too great and not the best film by a longshot, but I just assume other people liked it more than me, I don't need to justify my beliefs by saying everyone else was paid by Disney to say they like it like some numpties on here.

His grammar and spelling hasn't gone to the level of first grader yet. Only a matter of time before his mind cracks like last time and he gets banned.

While I do love it and personally think it’s the best movie of the year (so far), I don’t believe there’s any way they can win them all. And I also think Disney is being a bit pushy with its nominations.
