It's an issue I find interesting, but I haven't made a commitment to flat earth or round earth. The chem trails are messing with your head. Very funny, Marilyn. Har har har.

Flat earth is fake but hollow earth is real. 'The temperature at the inner core's surface is estimated to be approximately 5,700 K (5,430 °C) or 9806 °F, which is about the temperature at the surface of the Sun.'

Is it OT to talk about a spherical Earth on their boards? Well, the secretary of the society might want to make a private profile: www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=5562And browsing through some threads, one of the best comment so far : But I'd be curious to really hear the basis of their argument. I mean talking with people who have a vision of the world that goes back centuries must be quite an experience. It will be like wrestling with a pig: After it's over you'll both be covered in mud and shit but the pig will walk away happy.
I've been down that rabbit hole before: It will only make you question the "supposed" intelligence of the entire human species.

OT, but who should be his running mate? Dr. Loomis! "Dr. Loomis, you've been quoted as saying of Michael Myers, that what's behind his eyes was 'purely and simply... evil.' If fact, you've actually tried to kill him multiple times, even caught on video admitting to authorities that you 'shot him six times.' What's changed your opinion of him, now that you've agreed to be his running mate?"

I've never been to their website, but they're not hurting anybody, are they? Are you a flat Earth believer? We know the Earth is flat because the Bible tells us so. But for those of you skeptical, Close-minded types that flat out refuse to accept the overwhelming Biblical evidence, I have designed some experiments you can do at home that will show you, Before your very eyes, That the world is indeed flat, And not spherical as some crazy scientists proclaim. It"s amazing how many people blindly believe in a spherical Earth, Without ever having seen it for themselves! I intend to change that.

Seen it, chatted with FE types, watched a doc on it, still amazed by it.
The FE movement has been revitalized by the incoming wave of “YA CAN’T TRUST THEM LIBERAL SCIENTISTS!” that has accompanied the climate hoaxers and anti-intellectualism in the US in general.
The doc I watched had them setting up a pretty clever and adept experiment that involved lasers over a long distance to show there was no curvature to the earth.
It not only failed, it ended up demonstrating the curve of the earth. Plainly.
Their reaction was “Well, we’ll see what went wrong with it and try again until we get it right.” Not even a single one paused with some semblance of “Oh, we might be wrong.”
That’s the movement in a nutshell. Reject all inconvenient evidence, keep trying until the presupposition is supported. The opposite of science.
Hate to sound mean, but in all honesty, having see the larger group meetings and interviews, it really seems similar to a lot of the new neopagan groups: lots of somewhat unhappy, broken and awkward people agreeing to adopt some mutual belief that sets them apart and makes them special, then bonding over it. While the topic it centers around is absurd, the human dynamic isn’t that surprising. There’ve been whole papers on how conspiracy lovers feed on feeling part (or apart) of a select group that is “in the know”, not like the “rest of the sheeple”.

I work with a guy who makes flat earthers seem sane. Now, I do keep in mind that he wasn't meshuggah until he lost his son but his theories are over the top. Here are a few examples.
He said that there is a secret society where the worlds most powerful people get together, cut the faces off of children, wear their faces in an attempt to instill fear which makes their spinal fluid more potent then they drink the fluid.
He says that beverage companies put something called symonex into their beverages. This is supposed to come from aborted babies.
He says that Jennifer Garner and J-Lo are men.
That's just a small sample. He's a good guy at heart, he's just losing his mind.

No, there aren't. Politicians only care about themselves and push bullshit that they themselves exempt themselves from. How many congress critters take part in the (not so)Affordable Care Act or Social Security? How many DC politicians and bureaucrats send their kids to public schools? And don't get me started on hypocrites like Al Gore who push this climate change stuff and yet flies in private jets, has a fleet of SUV's, and lives in a house that uses more electricity in a month than the average home uses all year. I mean, name me one program they shove down our throats that they themselves haven't exempted themselves from.
