How does one define a feminist movie? I’m not being confrontational, I’m genuinely curious. The island of women is more anti-male. Diana seemed to prefer working with men. She was rather dependent on Steve. More a guy's idea of a tough female. So Wonder Woman was just a female superhero, not the feminist Captain Marvel was. And all Captain Marvel really did was realize she didn't have to live by rules Yon-rogg was setting for her, but she saw the Supreme commander as a gal, so basically it was more a case of she discovered she didn't have to live by the rules of her kidnappers. She didn't have to be who they tried to make her. Which is a feminist theme. A woman can be what she wants to be, not what others tell her to be. The Amazons weren’t anti-male. They worshipped a male God.
