I gotta take a look at that,” Downey said. “I mean, it plays in theaters,” he responded. “I appreciate his opinion. I think it’s like anything where we need all of the different perspectives so we can come to center and move on.” “It’d be like saying Howard Stern isn’t radio,” he said. “It makes no sense to say it." “Of course he’s not jealous of the success,” Downey said. “He’s Martin Scorsese.” “Do you actually think Martin Scorsese is upset about Marvel movies?” Downey asked Stern.

Well said.
I can see why Scorsese isn’t a fan but the MCU is a major part of cinema and will likely go down in history. It’s a popularized form of cinema, but not a bad one.

I have seen several Scorsese movies. Most are one shots. I really have little desire to see any more than once. Who's That Knocking at My Door (1967) Street Scenes 1970 (1970) Boxcar Bertha (1972) Mean Streets (1973) Italianamerican (1974) Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) Taxi Driver (1976) New York, New York (1977) The Last Waltz (1978) Raging Bull (1980) The King of Comedy (1982) After Hours (1985)The Color of Money (1986) The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) Goodfellas (1990) Cape Fear (1991)The Age of Innocence (1993) A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies (1995) Casino (1995) Kundun (1997) My Voyage to Italy (1999) Bringing Out the Dead (1999) Gangs of New York (2002)The Aviator (2004) No Direction Home (2005) The Departed (2006)Shine a Light (2008) Shutter Island (2010)A Letter to Elia (2010) Public Speaking (2010) George Harrison: Living in the Material World (2011) Hugo (2011)The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) The 50 Year Argument (2014) Silence (2016)Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese (2019) The Irishman (2019) So I've seen the red. Really only enjoyed Hugo enough to watch multiple times. I enjoyed some of the others, but not enough to watch multiple times. Murder a la Mod Greetings The Wedding Party Hi, Mom! Dionysus in '69 Get to Know Your Rabbit Sisters Phantom of the Paradise Obsession Carrie The Fury Home Movies Dressed to Kill Blow Out Scarface Body Double Wise Guys The Untouchables Casualties of WarThe Bonfire of the Vanities Raising Cain Carlito's Way Mission: Impossible Snake Eyes Mission to Mars Femme Fatale The Black Dahlia Redacted Passion Domino Seen way more DePalma Different people like different styles of movies. I don't really give a damn about gangsters I very much preferred untouchables to goodfellas
