Just copying down or writing down the Muslim shahada doesn't make one a Muslim, that's silly. You have to believe, so she wasn't in any 'danger'; but I think they should have let the girl take an alternative course if she felt she was being pressured to become a Muslim. Teaching about a religion can be tricky: it should be taught in a general way, giving an overview of it's beliefs and systems. I do believe the school went too far, in that they have gone into too much detail and not simply given a quick history on how Islam started and was spread. That is, if the information we have on this is true.

Translation: "Christians" like Cody and his heroes are so insufferably insecure that they think education about religion undermines and disrespects their faith. Fucking hilarious. . .and pathetic.

No, because Cody, like his god, is what he is. Made in his God's image and he expects to be taken seriously..... Cody, like many a Xtian nutter before him, fails to realize that if he's a walking signboard for God, God best seek another ad agency...because the current one sure isn't doing his image much good.

I don't think this Xtian God has ever been given much of an ideal or decent image, especially when Xtian nutters want others to share in their lunacy. There's nothing like organized religion to make even the most inoffensive god going look bad. I've often wished it would cross the minds of the faithful that it might be their own doings that are responsible for the notion that God has turned his back on the world, rather than laying the burden elsewhere.
