Doesn’t Spider-Man only have two more films in the MCU, one of which is a solo movie?

I don`t really see Spider Man as a leader type.

I don`t really see Spider Man as a leader type. Same I much prefer the character over Captain Marvel but it makes no sense for him to lead The Avengers. Literally anyone else would probably be better.

I guess it depends how many years later it is set. Also it might help with the whole secret identity being revealed conundrum.

Header should have a question mark as this is all rumor at this point. It doesn't make a ton of sense from a narrative standpoint, but he is the most marketable character they have left. We'll see.

I like the idea but the actor needs to grow into someone who looks like somebody others would want to follow. I'm late seeing Far From Home, just watched it last night (loved it) but it's no surprise he signed Edith over to Mysterio so soon.
He (Tom Holland) seems to really have that perfect expression that captures the capacity for learning from his mistakes. His Spiderman is quick-witted, thinks on his feet and goofy, but he seems to rebound from each mistake really strongly. He's not a leader, but I could see him being a leader in the making.
Captain Marvel's too strong. She lacks patience and despite a military air discipline, I don't think she's interested in ankle-weights. Plus she's clearly stronger in the field, which is exactly where she was when Black Widow coordinated the recovery effort from HQ. Doctor Strange is good but he also goes places nobody else can.
Only Captain America really emerged as a leader, rolls out of bed a leader, checks the mail like a leader. Iron Man had to work for a dozen movies to fine tune his leading ability and he was a CEO before he took up a suit, which was essentially Happy's point about Iron Man in Far From Home. He rolled out of bed each morning like a schmuck but by the end of the day, he was a leader.
I would love for Spiderman to be that dude. I think he has the capacity for coaching, strategizing, empathy, science and ass-kicking. If not him then I'm not sure who. I think he's shaping up to be a formidable young man who has the chops for leadership...several movies from now.

If Danvers, T'Challa or Strange ever take orders from a high school kid, I think that would shatter my mcu rose tinted glasses.

Definitely a bizarre course of action. Strange or T’Challa or Danvers would make better sense.

Definitely a bizarre course of action. Strange or T’Challa or Danvers would make better sense. I made a thread some time ago where I said Strange should replace Stark, T'Challa replaces Cap, Danvers replaces Thor and Spiderman replaces Hulk.

It’s a tossup. On one hand, I think that Spidey should get one more movie so he can actually stand out on his own and not feel like an apprentice for Tony. And on the other, Cap Marvel literally just came into the picture, which makes her less developed. I’d say for them to wait on it, and give it to Doctor Strange after Multiverse of Madness.

Far From Home already confirmed this months ago. They literally say in the movie he is taking over for Tony. Literally. In the movie.
