I go: Gnats/Stros I'll take: Gnats/Yanks I'm sorry - I can't watch St. Louis in the WS again (many have this feeling about the Yanks - but it's the Evil Empire) - kind of like my feeling of watching the Giants in another WS. Go!

Anything not involving the Yankees. I really don't mind them in the WS. Kind of like how I don't mind the Pats in the Super Bowl, Warriors in the NBA Finals, Pens/Blackhawks/Kings (they seem to have won a lot over the past 20 years in the NHL - or maybe I'm off). Maybe because they're 'Iconic' - and they're one of the most hated (and most loved) franchises around? Now if they make it would I be rooting for them? No. I'd hope they gets smoked. But just them being there makes it watchable and interesting for me.

Astros - Cards, the two least objectionable fanbases. I was under the impression a lot of MLB fans were turned off by Saint Louis pretty much being referred to as 'Baseball Heaven' and Busch as the Holy Grail of baseball. Think Ryan Howard (he's from there) made a statement like this years ago (not that he was turned off by Saint Louis - but as far as fans/atmosphere go - it's kind of upper echelon and would be a dream to play there) - to me that kind of = they're baseball snobs out there but what do I know - maybe I'm reading the whole thing wrong.

I hate them when they play us, otherwise I'm indifferent. I just don't want them winning the title the year after the Sox did. And if they had played the Rays in the ALCS, I would've preferred the Yankees won. At least they're a real city with real fans. One of the biggest sports travesties in history is the Yanks losing the 2001 World Series. Obviously because of 9/11, but also because nobody has ever given a shit about the Diamondbacks before or since.

This is my feeling as well when he get Dud franchises in the Finals, WS, SB, etc i.e.: Cardinals in the Super Bowl Rays in the World Series - it's the only 'Black Eye' for me as a fan for the Phils 2008 win. Why could it have not been against the Yanks? We beat the team nobody cares about or even knows exists. Nets in the NBA Finals It's hard to care. Which is kind of odd on why I have this feeling towards the Cards in the NL. I'm just bored with them. Maybe I'm jealous/bitter because the Phils were supposed to be a Dynasty back from 2008-2011 on onward and the Cards and Giants were knocking us out and we became irrelevant.

I didn't mind the Cardinals in the SB. Sure they've moved cities but at least they have history. They're the oldest surviving franchise in the NFL I believe. I just hate it when lame expansion teams fall into titles like the Diamondbacks and Marlins did. They immediately returned to irrelevancy, their stadiums are always empty. Nobody cares. As a sports fan it's anticlimactic to watch a team nobody cares about win it all.

Yanks vs whoever they have the best chance at beating. Not sure which matchup is better, so maybe someone who knows more about those teams can fill me in.

For those that enjoy pitching I think 'Stros vs. Gnats would be a blast
Starting Pitching:
Gnats starting pitching had the 2nd lowest ERA in the majors all year 'Stros starting pitching had the 3rd lowest ERA in the majors all year

I should go Astros-Nats. Montreal/Washington has never even been to the Series. But I still have a soft spot for the Birds on the Bat. Don't want to see the Yankees in it. I was kind of full of myself after the Sox 2018 Blitzkrieg. I'm already getting some payback and it will triple from the Yank fans if they win it all.

Astros/Nationals. I think that would be the best matchup.

Gotta root for the home team so Yankees Vs Nationals would be fine. Yankees/Cardinals has been done to death. I won't cry over spilled milk if the Yanks lose. Next choice would be Astros/Nationals.

Astros - Cards, the two least objectionable fanbases. My buddy, longtime Astros fan, hates the Cards. Jim Edmonds and Pujols were always killing them.

I hate the Yankees maybe more. Buy everyone, that's it just buy buy buy. So Astros V Cards or Nats, idc. Just f*ck NYY...
