Rivers fumbles and the Steelers scoop and score and lead it 7-0. There are more Steeler fans than Charger fans at the game, downright embarrassing for the Chargers. Between the two games, I'm guessing Los Angeles were outnumbered by 49ers and Steelers fans by 3-to-1. As bad as San Diego could get with other teams' fans, it was never as bad as that. Steelers could have riled up the crowd to drown out Rivers.

Downright horrible Sunday night game. 2 lousy teams and a lousy game. Steelers four losses: New England, Seattle, San Francisco, and Baltimore. Combined record: 20-3. New England blew them out; Steelers had 4th quarter leads versus the other three and lost the three of them by a total of nine points. They are the only team to score 20 points on the Niners; they are the only team to lose by fewer than 13 to them (they lost by 2). Steelers aren't lousy - - I'm guessing they'll end up 7-9 garden variety mediocre.

Huge clash next week between the 3-3 Eagles and 3-3 Cowboys in Arlington. I know this is what screamingtreefrogs lives for, no one team running away with the division with a bunch of NUNS rolling into town! The NFC East is competitive with teams ferociously looking for victories! It's exactly what I'm looking for - a meaningful game against a division rival - our biggest rival - with the top spot on the line

Moving day in the NFL.
KC, JAX, DAL, PHI, CLE, LAR, & TB all get chop blocked. I've Seattle just behind New England power ranked, I need more out of San Fran than the Rams' circus mistake party.
Patriots 2 game lead in the AFC ftw. They also play 4 of the losers I just listed, thus inviting inevitable Cowboys & Eagles fans declaring the Patriots schedule is too easy while their own teams are underrated. If the Patriots defeat the Cowboys 35-16, remember everyone it's because the Patriots have the Dolphins in their division.

Here is my recap and analysis of Week 6’s games
Steelers defeat Chargers 24-17. Nice win for the Steelers with their 3rd string QB at the helm, they have some talent but I don’t think they are going anywhere this season although with their division as weak as it is they aren’t out of the picture. Chargers are going downhill rapidly, I’m not quite sure what is wrong with them but Rivers isn’t playing great, their rushing attack isn’t as good as it should be and neither is their defense, all around they just aren’t playing up to their potential and I don’t see this team making the playoffs.
49ers defeat Rams 20-7. Niners stay unbeaten and this was a really nice win for them, they are playing very well right now and have a complete team, their defense is one of the NFL’s best and their secondary is much better than I thought it would be, and their offense is balanced and potent and has some good weapons. The Rams are in trouble, Goff isn’t playing well, their rushing attack is nonexistent (Gurley was out today), their offensive line isn’t as good as it was last year and their defense isn’t complete, the Rams should still be playing better than this and they really need to make some adjustments because they are in free fall right now.
Texans defeat Chiefs 31-24. Huge road win for the Texans, they are emerging as the AFC South’s top team, they are that division’s most complete team and they are good on both sides of the ball, they have a very potent offensive attack and an underrated defense. Back to back losses for the Chiefs and I think they may be slightly overrated, their defense is just average and they cannot stop the rush, and they can’t run the ball all that well.
Vikings defeat Eagles 38-20. Dominant win for the Vikings, Cousins with a big game, 300 yards passing and 4 TD’s, they’ve opened up their passing attack in their last 2 games and they look much better, they have a great offensive attack and a strong defense as well. The Eagles have an atrocious secondary that kills them every time they face a team with a strong passing attack, they got burned repeatedly today, the Eagles have a very good offense but their secondary is a disaster and prevents them from being a top tier team.
Jets defeat Cowboys 24-22. Upset win for the Jets, they are competent again with Darnold back, he had a big game and while they are still rebuilding and won’t do much this year they will be competitive in the future IMO. I can’t figure out the Cowboys, but they are in free fall right now and looked lifeless on both sides of the ball for most of the game, huge game next week for them against the Eagles.
Cardinals defeat Falcons 34-33. Cardinals with their second straight win, Murray had a great game, I think he will be a good QB and while they are rebuilding they will be good in the future IMO. The Falcons are a disaster because of their god awful defense, Ryan played a great game once again and it was wasted although they still could’ve won if Bryant hadn’t missed the PAT, but their defense is arguably the worst in the NFL and Quinn needs to go, their defense has only gotten worse this season and they need to make a change, their offense is extremely talented and it’s being wasted.
Seahawks defeat Browns 32-28. Seahawks continue to look like one of the NFL’s best teams, their offense is very good, both passing and rushing and Wilson is looking like arguably the MVP, and their defense is solid as well. The Browns have talent but they aren’t playing up to their potential, Mayfield is turning the ball over a lot and that has to stop and their defense is just average, I look forward to seeing what they do going forward.
Broncos defeat Titans 16-0. Broncos have now won 2 in a row, but I don’t think they are going anywhere, they haven’t been all that impressive in their wins and their offense is weak. The Titans remain wildly unpredictable and inconsistent and Mariota got benched after an awful game, I can never predict what the Titans will do and while they have some talented players on both sides of the ball, they are too inconsistent to make the playoffs IMO.
Panthers defeat Buccaneers 37-26. Panthers continue to win with Allen at QB, he’s doing a good job for them and they are right in the NFC playoff race and are red hot, and their defense did a great job forcing 7 TO’s. The Bucs are inconsistent as is Winston who continues to have TO problems and I don’t think they are complete enough to compete in the NFC playoff race.
Saints defeat Jaguars 13-6. Saints win again with Bridgewater at QB, they are playing really well and are arguably the NFC’s best team, and their defense completely shut down the Jags. Minshew fell off today after several good games, I still have confidence in him and think the Jags are a decent team but I’m not sure if they can get over the hump and finish 500 or above.
Ravens defeat Bengals 23-17. Jackson with a terrific performance leading the Ravens to victory, when Jackson plays well the Ravens look like a strong team, they are right in the AFC playoff race, Jackson just needs to be more consistent, I’m just not sure how good he actually is. The Bengals are lifeless and have very little talent and desperately need a new QB.
Redskins defeat Dolphins 17-16. Toilet Bowl here, both teams are god awful, but the Fins are worse, they don’t even look like they are trying to win. Both of these teams are finishing at the bottom of the league and need to rebuild.
Any thoughts?

Jared Geoff of the Rams had 27 yards passing.
After watching the game, it seemed a bit high. They did not convert on a single third down.
Pretty amazing stuff.

Goff finished with 78 yards passing, he had 27 in the first half I believe. That means he more than doubled his passing yards after halftime. Looks like a lot of key adjustments were made in that locker room.

IMHO the NFC is more balanced and competitive this year. Rams are in trouble of not making the playoffs because now they have to contend with a still undefeated Niners team and the Seahawks in the same division. Seattle's weird. They too could be undefeated but they like to sleep in against scrubs.
I'm not seeing a whole lot of movers and shakers in the AFC. If this was a horse race, the Patriots are out in front by 3 or 4 lengths with the Chiefs in 2nd place and maybe Buffalo holding their own in third. Unless something weird happens in the playoffs or barring late season rallies and injuries to New England, the Patriots are going to auto pilot their way back to the Super Bowl!
