Note to Americans, 210 teams in Football's "world series" Note to foreigners, 33% of all players in baseball are from foreign nations. That's why the goal is to win the "World Series."

What countries do they play in and what nations are represented? Didn't realise. Thought it was just American teams involved.

Didn't realise. Thought it was just American teams involved. They play games in America, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Australia. This season players are from 21 different nations. 250 players out of 750 are from nations not named USA. That's 33% of the league is foreign. I wonder what the % of foreigners is in Scottish football, or Welsh football, or German football, or... You really think 33% of Scottish football players are foreigners?

San Marino is to be applauded for being in this comp, knowing they are likely to get thumped every game. They have a decent keeper and... The Scots, on the whole, made the most of this opportunity to get a WIN. I liked Shankland upfront. Well worth persevering with and Forrest playing as the second striker was a good move by Clarke and Christie, playing out of position wide right. I know that Robertson has been getting loadsastick and here, against the minnows, he didn't impress

What other countries compete is the obvious point, isn't it? You can try and dress it up how you like but it's a pretty stupid name the World Series for a sport played by American teams in America and then calling yourselves world champions. A "World" competition needs many nations sending national sides to compete in. Special interest sports tend not to be able to do that as they have limited interest outside of one country. Perhaps better to call it "American Series"

Perhaps better to call it "American Series" No. 'Other countries' is not relevant at all. Isn't the nationality of the players more important than what place they hail from? Hell, English premier soccer could send an Al Star team over here to play -- does that mean they are Englishman? You are just being argumentative. And, believe me, we've all heard that dopey "Why is it called the WORLD series" stupidity before. If you can't accept that a full one third of all players in baseball are from nations all over the world, then it is obvious you are being obtuse on this subject. And you know what? I'll do the same stupidity that you are doing just to show you how stupid you look: Why is it called the English Premier League when many players are not English?

Sorry, obviously touched a very tender nerve. America#1 No, intelligence is #1 in my book. I get angry when I see such stupidity that you display. My heart aches for the world that someone as dumb as you walks this precious Earth. Slugs, snails, and you. At least the first two never had the opportunity to attend school. What's your reason for your stupidity?
