Was the TV series shown where you live? It started the same year as Airwolf but only lasted one season.

My bro and I saw that picture on the big screen. Was the TV series shown where you live? It started the same year as Airwolf but only lasted one season. It aired in UK, but I don't remember ever seeing the show. Certainly, it hasn't enjoyed umpteen reruns like Airwolf did.

I love the movie - have it in my library even today, only watched it a few weeks ago. Not so much the series, though. The whole point of the movie is to say "you know, the police shouldn't have this kind of power available to them, the potential for abuse is too high". That kind of flies out the window when you then do a series of "Oooo, police gunship is COOL!!!"

Blue Thunder was, of course, a modified Aérospatiale Gazelle : The modifications include putting flat-panel cockpit glass on, and the nose cannon.I heard a legend once that as Blue Thunder came in to land at one point, the whole modified front section fell off and smashed on the floor. There's supposed to be footage of it, but I never found it.
