Lincoln (2012) & Phantom Thread (2017). Both Daniel Day Lewis films that I've been putting off for years. Worried that they'll bore me to tears but they did both get very good reviews so I SHOULD get around to them eventually.

msdemosCitizen Kane (1941) is among a small amount of movies I have seen roughly the first 20 minutes but I did not feel I have seen enough of it to write it off as a boring quite yet. but given what I did see... unless that movie started noticeably improving within about 20-30min past what I did see, I would not be surprised if I turned it off and called it boring and boring is pretty much the worst crime a movie can commit (well, there is worse for me but it's quite rare something is THAT bad, so 'boring' is my typical bottom score(i.e. 2/10)). I suspect it's possible I could get around to giving it a proper chance in the future but I am in no rush given what I said above @jakesully He seems like one of those people the academy/critics (and the like) kiss up to like Meryl Streep as they seem to affiliate them as THE best (or something close enough to that standard) of male/female acting. but both are clearly overrated in my mind (but I would say Streep is the more overrated of the two) as neither has a strong all around presence like plenty of other names do. while I also have not seen either of those movies you mentioned... I would be surprised if I thought much of them. they might not be bad, but I don't expect them to be all that good either (my guess is they would not score higher than a 5/10 (Thumbs Down) for me which I suspect is why I tend to avoid them as I have seen too many movies that score a 5/10 or less as you could basically say my general goal in watching movies is to find movies I want to re-watch from time-to-time as the years pass since that's where movies are ultimately made or broke in my book is re-watch factor). Feologild OakesReally, you have not seen Die Hard? ; I just kind of assume that's one of those movies just about every guy has seen at some point or another (especially if they watch at least a fair amount of movies), at least on basic cable TV etc. no offense or anything. but I guess on a positive note... I imagine you are one of the few who can claim that around here like if we were to start listing peoples claims from more surprising to not, I would expect to see yours one of the more surprising claims, especially assuming your not too young and are at least around 30 years old and have seen at least a moderate amount of movies. because I would not be surprised to see a fair amount of teenagers today who have not seen movies like Die Hard etc. but anyone who's seen at least a fair amount of action movies, that movie seem very likely to be one of those that a person has seen. p.s. I guess if I had to name a movie or movies that are quite popular that I have pretty much not seen... Star Wars series. well I attempted to see Star Wars (1977) not all that long ago on July 29th 2015 but I could not finish it due to boredom and turned it off @ the 1hr mark. but I do think I might have caught tiny bits or pieces of it on TV at others houses back around the late 1980's or early 1990's with some of the Star Wards movies back in the day. but with that said... I suspect with the typical guy across all age groups, Die Hard would have more all around wider appeal than Star Wars would. because while Star Wars is obviously really huge, as it's bigger than Die Hard is from a $$$ perspective (so I am sure that would make it pretty easy for someone to say I am wrong for making the claim I did), it seems to be more limited on those who really praise it where as I suspect Die Hard would have a wider all around appeal among us males as Star Wars seems to be somewhat more of a nerd kind of appeal who really get into it and praise the hell out of it as if you exclude that group, I think there is a reasonable chance Die Hard will be more liked. but I am just speculating here as I don't have any hard proof for this claim and I could be wrong as I would not bet money on it but I think it's plausible that I could be right. anthonyrocksFor whatever it's worth... it's the 2nd oldest movie I gave a 7/10 or higher. I gave it a 7/10.

I don`t really know why i have never seen it. I am 36 so i really should have watched the movie years ago. And i have seen a fair amount of action movies in my life, but for some reason i have just never gotten around to Die Hard.

Snap. The runtime keeps putting me off, even though its ''only'' 2.5 hours.

Worried that they'll bore me to tears but they did both get very good reviews so I SHOULD get around to them eventually. I watched Lincoln in the cinema when it came out. I had the same fears, and being someone not from America I thought it would bore me too. But the screenplay is thrillingly riveting and the pacing will not leave you bored. It is a very talky talky movie but the subject matter, acting and progression of the plot left my eyes glued to the screen. I recommend.

My #3 all time. CK is a film you may want to watch & revisit months &/or years later for full effect. Ebert's DVD commentary is extremely highly recommended to truly soak it all up.

Stagecoach for me. I've only ever found it in box sets &/or rarity copies for too much money.
Never on tv... oddly.
