Completed list: Children of Men Alien Wolf of Wall Street Dunkirk The Revenant Blade Runner/BR 2049 Magnolia Hereditary Barry Lyndon The Master Sicario Pulp Fiction Boogie Nights Drive Mission Impossible Fallout Good Time Phantom Thread The Thing Goodfellas Memento The Handmaiden There Will Be Blood 2001 A Space Odyssey Fight Club Gravity Atonement The Social Network Rosemary’s Baby Apocalypse Now Aliens Inception Jaws Shame No Country for Old Men The Prestige The Godfather Pan’s Labyrinth Inglorious Basterds Oldboy Spirited Away Mandy Kill Bill Vol 1 American Psycho Manchester by the Sea Midsommar The matrix Jurassic Park Requiem for a Dream Gone Girl The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Departed Anomalisa (only seen this once, but it really stuck with me) The Girl with The Dragon Tat (Fincher’s) A Ghost Story Whiplash The favorite Arrival Dr Strangelove Silence John Wick Chapter 3 Call me By your name Full metal jacket The Nice Guys “you made a porno where the point was the plot” seriously one of the funniest movies I’ve seen, and it nails the 70s LA noir vibe so well. Mad Max Fury Road (still wonder how exciting this would’ve been in theaters) A Clockwork Orange Paddington 2 Synecdoche New York The Graduate 12 Angry Men Rear Window Typing this out just now made me realize how much of PTA’s work i’d consider to be amongst my favorites. Really amazing filmography. I think it's intentional by the filmmakers but I had a visceral disgust watching this movie. Not saying it's bad, by any means. In fact, I actually think the opposite of that, but there is something about this movie. I've only seen it a couple times, but every time I watch it, on a instinctual level I react to it.

Just to be clear, everyone I'm referring to Marvel's Avengers, not these Avengers.
In the UK the Avengers (the one with Iron Man) is officially called "Avengers Assemble" so people wouldn't confuse it with that film. I've never heard anyone call it that, though.

Don't get me started. I have a list of 100+ favorite dramas, 100 favorite actioners, 100 favorite comedies, 25 favorite horror films; and then I get into subgenres such as fantasy, Children's movies, holiday movies, and made for tv movies. I used to rank the top 25 in each category individually, but it was splitting hairs after the top 5. I know right? I have lists upon lists on my computer. I even consider “Favorite Movies” and “Best Movies” to be completely different aside for a few that crossover. Because I consider a favorite movie something you can just rewatch over and over again forever but that could be anything... even something silly you loved as a kid like Hocus Pocus or Home Alone 2 whereas best is more like things such as Goodfellas or Full Metal Jacket but you don’t necessarily watch all the time. Then of course there is the rare exception that fits into both like Back to the Future.
