God Almighty and All the Saints, just that the blue fucking hell does Notorious BIG have to do with Rock and Roll. Be like Joe Montana going into the Soccer Hall of Fame.
John Lydon is right, it's a piss stain

"Still no Tull."
The HOF and music critics have never been to kind to prog rock. It took quite a while for Yes, Genesis, and Rush to get in. King Crimson and ELP isn't in it either.

Best to sort by years eligible and look at the 0s in the right hand column. Those are the true snubs. RATM 2 years eligible, 2 years nominated, this being the second year, is anything but a snub. DMB first year eligible, first year nominated is a real joke to add to that list. Then you have LL Cool J with 5 nominations in 9 previous years still nominated this year.

I have an easier time with Dave Matthews Band getting nominated than at least half of the other nominees on the list.

Gram Parsons should have been in years ago. He didn't invent Country Rock but he made it popular. But maybe there isn't room after putting in Tupak and NWA, because, God fucking knows, act that never had shit to do with Rock need to be in there.
Where's Beethoven and Mozart. Piss Stain

And "Popular Music Hall of Fame" is too generic.

I really hope DMB do not get in, I can't stand them at all, well ok, maybe the 'band' part I don't mind, they're talented musicians, but Dave Matthews just ruins it for me, he is just awful, terrible singer and a very pompous arrogant person

28 years ago today, Nov. 4, 1991, they announced the 7th annual inductees. They included Jimi Hendrix ( The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Booker T & The MGs, Sam & Dave, The Yardbirds, The Isley Brothers, Johnny Cash, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Leo Fender, Bill Graham, Elmore James. Doc Pomus and Professor Longhair.
What the hell happened since then?

The DMB online campaign is bolstering the band's fan vote. But will it translate to the main vote? Only time will tell, but the strategy is bold ...
