A Man for All Seasons From Russia with Love The Birthday Party The Sting Robin and Marian The Deep The Taking of Pelham One Two Three Yep that's pretty good. He's also decent in Black Sunday too.

I was tempted to list that one too, but I haven't watched it since I was kid, and frankly, I barely remember it (I do remember liking it though). Serious need of a rewatch.

It used to be on television a bit. Dern's pretty loony but the plausibility of the terrorist plot makes it watchable.

JAWS, hands down. Legend has it Shaw was quite drunk while filming the USS Indianapolis scene. This video shows how he continuously diverted from the script, intentionally or not, and went on to deliver one of the greatest monologues in film history. (Forgive me. I’ve posted this before but I love it so much.)

Jaws easily for me his best, but I adore his turn in The Sting as well.

Quint is so cute in this movie. I always thought he might be gay. His character is certainly no ladies' man.

Robert Shaw had a full career in the theater as well as in films, and I know him mostly for his more mainstream oriented work, and from that bunch Jaws stands out. He takes an aging, bitter man and makes him feel as varied and complex as a character out of Shakespeare. That's acting!

However, Quint does drink a toast to “swimmin’ with bow-legged wimmen’”.

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) The Sting (1973)
He mad a very good bad man didn't he? He was the kind of guy you wanted to see taken down........
Interesting that he wrote the play (or was it the novel) for, The Man in the Glass Booth. As you can read, I found this play challenging and enigmatic:
