1946 suspense thriller directed by Orson Welles
Edward G. Robinson Loretta Young Orson Welles
9/10
Not quite Citizen Kane or Touch Of Evil, but still fun times with Orson Welles. No one directed films quite like Orson Welles, and the death scene at the end was fantastic.

6.5/10 - Not as good as I'd hoped, frankly. I actually would've rated it a 6/10 based on the 1st half, but the 2nd half was a little better, which bumped up the rating a bit.

Liked the cat and mouse game between Edward G and Orson.

For some reason I wasn’t enamored of it the first time I saw it, though I’m a big Welles fan and the cat and mouse between him and Robinson is good. Mostly, I think, it just didn’t seem as wild and inventive as Kane, Ambersons, Touch of Evil, and the Shakespeare adaptations.
