Are the Village People the live music act in the DDC today, Matt? Not today, Dana -- giving a couple of newcomers a chance to break into show business They will be making their debut in a couple of minutes (they are backstage now, knees knocking, suffering from stage fright) Give them a big hand when the curtain comes up -- it should help

Here's our theme title in song, folks
Let's give it up for them (they could use the boost)

VERY interesting-looking game and--at the end--it gives an alphabetical listing of many Oscar-winning directors.
How many directors won an Oscar at some time? And yes, I know that were some directors that were multiple Oscar-winning directors that did not make the final list.
I guess finding these performers (with movie title) might complete all 66 Oscar-winning directors.

I knew there was something missing from this Quiz ... of course, it was (wait for it) -- KIJII !!!
All of the 60 listed Directors were Oscar winners for this contest -- only a few were not used:
(Del Toro, Inarritu, Chazelle, Hooper, Hozanavicius, Gibson)
Hope to see you back here at Sunday's contest

Since I couldn't play, I will ask a question:
According to Matt, Del Toro, Inarritu, Chazelle, Hooper, Hozanavicius, and Gibson were not entered into this game. Can anyone find a career Oscar-winning performer (with the movie title) for each of these directors that has not already been used in the game (as shown on the final solution board)?
D01a Damien Chazelle 002a Guillermo del Toro 003a Mel Gibson 004a Tom Hooper 005a Michel Hazanavicius 006a Alejandro G. Iñárritu

Following the GG rule -- Director a career Oscar winner / both Performers career Oscar winners / 2 titles / none nominated for the films / only worked together once:
For Tom Hooper -- Russell Crowe in LES MISERABLES / Hilary Swank in RED DUST
