They can't get this right for the big screen. The TV show had legitimately beautiful women playing the angels, none of the actresses in either of the reboots even come close. I adore Drew Barrymore, but at best she's cute. Never understood the appeal of Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu isn't much either. Naomi Scott & Ella Balinska aren't ugly, but they're nothing memorable. And the less I say about Kristen Stewart, the better. This is a problem with Hollywood in general-they seem to be on a beta trend but it has built up decade by decade. Their motto seems to be
the more beta, the better.

There was a behind the scenes tv movie on Charlie's Angels-never saw it-I think the Kate Jackson doppleganger looks the most like the original of the three based on the pics (also was Tricia Helfer's first role).

i love Stewart but this movie was close to unbearable... I don't recall seeing Stewart in any movie where she had a large lead role, but what I have seen of her, she doesn't look like a bad actress by any means. She just appears to have a mean streak in her. When she was promoting one of her Twilight movies in Sydney, she had the meanest scowl on her face when fans were greeting her and Lautner. I guess she was envious of all the attention he was getting over her. What did she expect, teens girls liked the cute boys. They are not all raving feminist lesbians. I get why some may see that in her but I interpret it as being quite introverted and uncomfortable with it all. She is getting more relaxed as she ages. I think she is a trally great actress though. Plus also super hot yes she is in my top 5 dream girls that I would like to date.

The Hollywood execs that greenlit this movie apparently did. Why they thought audiences were dying for yet another remake of Charlie's Angels is beyond me.

I thought Charlie was the unseen boss. At least that was the way it was in the original telly program.

Didn't Elizabeth Banks write this? Maybe not every successful-enough actor needs to try their hand at screenwriting just because they can get the financing or get greenlit by a studio.
I dunno, just a silly notion I had...

They could never come close to the charm of the original show, especially that first season of which I am a bona fide addict. ![](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/images/gettyimages-92995528-1554412440.jpg?crop=1.00xw:0.927xh;0,0.0259xh&resize=480:*) Oh my god! They have big huge faces! I have a big huge face on a skinny neck. Can we bring back real sized on-screen talent to replace the current-day muchkins, please?? And yes, I LOVE your point. The original really does have a certain charm, as did its stars. It seemed that charm, at least as much as if not more than than looks, was the secret to its success.

Toasted Cheese, I recommend those movies to you, heartily. But on interviews with Dave Letterman (the only time I saw her outside of those movies) she seemed beyond unnerved, like having trouble breathing steadily level uncomfortable. And I love her face, her whole look and what she does with it, even if she is a little mini one. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) I'm not a heightest!

Elizabeth Banks produced, wrote, directed, and stars in this movie. Will anyone tell her she's not as talented as she thinks she is?

I heard the original plan was to have Scarlett Johanson and Jennifer Lawerence as 2 of the 3 Angles but would have breached the budget.

According to Wikipedia it's only made 45.4 million world wide as of 29 NOV. That's not even close to breaking even. To be considered a box office success it has to make double it's production budget.
