I would love to know if the "Bag O"Nails" story is true. For those who don't know, James Marshall was playing at a London club called the Bag O'Nails. He had started to get talked about so a few musicians went to see him. Who, you might ask. In attendances were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend, Keith Richards, Brian Jones and a couple others. And all they could say was "Jesus Christ", "Holy Shit" and "How the fuck is he doing that?" I'v read the story from a couple sources but still. Hendrix was a genius but how much more advanced was he from those guys, none of whom was a ten thumbed klutz with a guitar. Almost too good of a story.
Don't forget that Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding were great musicians too. Sometimes they seem to be treated as studio musicians.

My all time favorite guitarist, and the reason I play guitar myself.

There are quite a few video clips where artists tell of their Hendrix experience. Thanks, petrolino.

Thanks Sulla. Hope you're doing okay. People here have been sending good thoughts your way in your absence.

One of those bands I hugely respect and admire whilst liking almost none of their output. I'm the same with Van Morrison, adore the voice and dislike the music on the whole.
