A new montage of footage from Wonder Woman: 1984 was shown at a presentation for HBO Max. TEX: The new Wonder Woman 1984 footage comes from this week's presentation for WarnerMedia's new streaming service HBO Max. Though the footage isn't available online, according to IGN it shows Diana and Steve in Washington DC, at one point near the Washington Monument. That part of the footage indicates it may be a dream, because Diana says, "I can almost see it, like a beautiful dream.” However, a later scene shows Diana and Steve fighting people inside the White House, with Diana defending Steve and using her lasso. She's also wearing her new armor in that scene, offering a first look at it in battle. Wonder Woman 1984 made news this time last week when director Patty Jenkins finally confirmed that Pedro Pascal will play Maxwell Lord, an influential businessman and villain from the comics. In a tweet, Jenkins captioned a photo of Lord, "Well hello...Max." The character's confirmed inclusion in the film has some speculating he plays a role in Steve's return. Many fans think Lord will use his powers to revive Steve in exchange for Diana's help. The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 will reportedly drop in December, so viewers may get some insight into Lord's role in the film at that time. screenrant.com/wonder-woman-2-footage-description-details-white-house/

I'm excited for this one for sure. I still wonder how Steve will come back and what will happen to him after this one? I just don't want to see him die...again.

Isn't she supposed to have sat history out after WWI until Justice League?

Isn't she supposed to have sat history out after WWI until Justice League? Well some think that WW:1984 will do a reset of the Snyder-verse.

Isn't she supposed to have sat history out after WWI until Justice League? DC have rewritten that part of Diana's backstory in every film so far, why should WW84 be any different?

DC have rewritten that part of Diana's backstory in every film so far, why should WW84 be any different? Have they? How so? BVS states Diana has kept herself apart from mans world for almost 100 years, since WW1 as you said.
Wonder Woman has Diana embarking on new missions with the team established in WW at the end of that movie, not you know stepping away as is stated she did in BVS.
Justice League tries to retcon these discrepancies by saying Diana stepped back but only stepped up when confronted with an issue, still it states she never does anything huge that would make her a symbol like Superman is.
Now WW84 apparently has her fighting people in the White House, so seems like yet another retcon, this being probably the most blatant though.

Huh, don't remember that from Justice League. Don't remember much from Justice League at all, for that matter!
