KittyBiggerstaff died a couple of months back. Lovely lass. Moved over to Nytramsplace when the original IMDB board kicked us all off. Is Nytram's still kickin'? Still there nytramsplace.activeboard.com/

There was a user named Plate O Shrimp, but I don't know if he died. I think he left the board when Ben started flooding it with the PTL worship; he may have already been gone by then.

I looked him up and he did post a bit today. Hey, gameboy How are things going? Hope you are doing well. Yeah, the new job is taking a lot of my time as well as somethings I have to clear as Sulla mentioned. I post almost exclusively on the sports board as it is quite relaxed environment on the sports board. I used to post on Religion board too but have not been active there in the last 5 months. I found that place to be repetitive and confronting and decided I would quit posting there in May. Hi AJ, nice to see you again. Hope you are well.

There was a poster who went by the name of TheDyingFlutchman (he used some other screen names prior to that, but TDF was the last one he used). Very curious, strange, and interesting guy: he appeared to have had some sort of inner connections to the movie business, possibly as a writer (?) dating back to the 1950s, possibly even before. He used to post some very "inscrutable" comments all over the place - often on boards of very obscure old films, TV shows, actors, directors, etc. Seems like he had the inside scoop on a lot of things in Hollywood, but he would frame it in rather vague terms.
Anyway, he was ailing and later died. One of his relatives (I think it was his wife?) posted that he died of cancer. This was about a year before the IMDb boards shut down. His Hollywood secrets must’ve died with him.

Jodilyn was a poster to Soapbox, and Food and Drink on the old boards. When IMDb announced "The End," several of us from those boards exchanged private messages, to see who would like to exchange personal emails. She was one who got into the email "pool." Just as this board was being established, Jodilyn sent several of us messages that she had been diagnosed with cancer that had spread. She sent a few updates about aggressive treatment, and doctors being pleased with the results, and said that she was in good spirits. Then emails stopped, and ours were not returned.
I don't know the outcome, to a certainty. Of course I hope that all is well, and she found other interests.

divtal: yes, I've been wondering (and worried) about the fate of Jodilyn. There simply hasn't been an update as to her situation, one way or the other. One can only pray and hope for the best, I guess.

FudSlush - I think I said his name right he was an old imdb board member he posted mostly on the soapbox. music boards and a few other sections. he was a prick from what I remember
I remember him, he was around a long time and posted on quite a few of the boards. I don't think he was around when the boards got closed down, but I could be wrong.

I saw his suicidal declaration on Film General, it was in January 2017, just before the announcement of the shutdown. I forgot about him. Thanks for that. I recall feeling particularly badly about it, it just seemed awful that he was so beyond the reach of help out of his depression. Fine poster on Classic Film and Music General. I think his real name was Billy. Not sure I ever knew his last name. Southern California? I believe he had a serious physical malady in addition to depression and was losing a lot of money on meds. He deleted his account but someone who was in extra-IMDb contact with him said in early 2017 he was still with us. No word since. Racoombs (sp?) was an elderly chap on Classic Film who suddenly stopped posting. Bobby Hope on Music General signaled his failing health, then stopped posting. Apostic was the master of the old I Need To Know board, where a handful of us, including Strelnikoff, competed to answer queries first. I once beat him on a query on a film about amnesia and D-Day, which of course was 48 Hours, and he kindly mailed me a copy of the film. I heard he passed away following surgery.

I recall Racoombs (I think you have the spelling correct), and I may have exchanged a few posts with him. I vaguely recall Apostic, but never communicated with him. I hope the person who said Dusty was still alive as of 2017 was correct--and I hope he still is, although depression and failing health are certainly reason enough for a person not to wish a prolonged existence for themselves. Life certainly can be a bitch.

I kept setting up different usernames trying to lure him out so I could piss him off some more. but it didn't work several folks on imdb I talked to also said the guy had always had kind of a "Prickish and trollish" attitude

A well loved resident of the Classic Film Board on the old boards at that website we do not name was an elderly lady named Billyed. I think she was VERY elderly but knew her classic movies. If I remember correctly, when she died one of her relatives PM'd a Classic Board user that she had been in touch with and that person passed on the news. A year or so after her death, some newly registered asshole posted on Classic, "I was talking to Billyed the other day and she says to say Hello." Well, he had a mountain of abuse dumped on him (I'm assuming a "him") which I'm sure pleased him very much. I remember a poster named believe it was..... ecarle, I enjoyed his Alfred Hitchcock posts.

In or around December 2017. A person from another forum learnt of it from a broadcast on Facebook.
