Man, and we're back to the show sucking again.
I can't even suggest Days should just switch to straight farce, because for one thing their Halloween episode was only mildly fun, but just as importantly, the writers would still find a way to screw it up.
The stupidity of some of these characters when being coerced never ceases to astound me; namely in this case Gabi's threat of hurting Julie if Lani doesn't do what she wants. A) Lani's supposed to be a cop, and B) She's had all of these opportunities to try and tell someone that could help her when Gabi isn't around; and the one time she made any kind of inquiry was at the worst possible moment and was incredibly indiscreet for something so delicate.
So Gina has no idea she's implanted into Hope? That's dumb. Even more dumb is her trying to pass herself off as Hope, but the first time someone who clearly knows Hope comes up and talks to her, she doesn't even try to pretend that she knows who this person is.
The thing I think I hate most about what they've done to Gabi is they've made Julie right about her; and that just seems wrong.
Lani's been in Salem for how long many years now; and her mom is just visiting, where she has the opportunity to talk to Abe face to face about the fact that she never told Abe about their daughter?
This show really needs to fucking prioritize when they're going to have actors available for episodes better. I mean, Jesus Christ, you have all these main characters involved with a throw-away episode like the Halloween episode, but can't afford to put them in something as important as a wedding?? I have no clue how close John has become with Eli or Lani, but come on, don't come up with stupid excuses for people, like the groom's fucking mother having to work the day of her son's wedding. Unless the actor is physically unavailable, they should do better budgeting of which episodes to put actors in; because surely there was at least one episode prior to this that some of these absent characters didn't need to be in, that they could have used the stupid excuses for, in order to make it viable to have them in this episode or others like it, where it just doesn't make sense for them not to be there. And even if someone wasn't available when it was being shot, the fact that this show is still presently shooting six months out means they could have picked any day between now and last May to find an opportunity to bring that actor in for some kind of second unity pick-up or something.
So Tamara sang at John and Marlena's wedding? Which one?
Tamara noted that John got remarried and there was some drama.... Which one?
I'd have given good money for Jack and Jen to look at each other after "Hope's" abrupt departure from the wedding; and one of them say, "she' Gina again, isn't she?"
"Yeah...."
