I know, I think I've been through most of them. Fingers are numb. It was a kind of a parody confrontation between the devil and an angel, hence the dressing up in opposite black and white garbs, including boots and hats, but in a western genre. Not a big cast, indeed I only recall the two main adversaries. I guess the good guy prevailed, but can't remember how, or which one.

Blimey! That is vague - we would need a clue as to the finale because at the moment the synopsis covers about 5 thousand Oaters Thanks for looking .. …. way I figure, if you and matt don't know what it is .. no one will ! Hopefully I will be proved wrong !
any clue would help …. the question looked like a parody question at first ,,, I saw this movie with a man and a woman and they hated each other and then they fell in love and then they fought. I don't remember how it ended. It was in B&W .. what was it ?

Isn't the question … which of the characters IS actually "the good guy" ? Check out the western movies of Robert Preston. <----- wild hunch.

al .. when you first asked this question . it was so vague and all encompassing that I assumed that it was a parody question... seriously, I did !.
There are so many possibles, that finding it will be like a needle in the haystack.
If I stumble upon it I will let you know.

actually Sleuth was / is fun . It has a possibility of being solved eventually ! It became a conversation piece and place to socialize and joke around as well as being a serious search. Someday Nalkarj will come and announce that the EUREKA moment has finally arrived ! This one is just frustrating because it is so very very vague.

Maybe Nalkarj can find this needle. Not sure how up he is on Westerns. Bat noted "OF course the good guy prevailed." I'm not even sure if he did .

RiP, IMDb - No idea. Apart from finding the damn movie, that's the mystery! I do remember that the answer wasn't revealed until the very end. But which was the evil one has escaped me.

But isn't that what you'd expect. Double bluff perhaps, or even triple bluff.

But isn't that what you'd expect. Double bluff perhaps, or even triple bluff. Maybe it was a quadruple bluff and the bartender was the evil mastermind !

I had originally typed butler but figured there would be an objection to that so changed it to bartender
