Saturday November 10'Th, 1979 - Well into the evening, a Canadian Pacific train, with 106 railway cars was travelling through Mississauga Ontario, with fuel tanks carrying poisonous chemicals, such as chlorine, propane & other toxins, & derailed. When the fuel tanks crashed, they exploded, & causing a massive fire, & sending the toxic fumes into the night sky. Although it was very late into the night, people had to be evacuated immediately. Everyone had to be contacted & told to get out of town, or they would all die from inhaling poisonous fumes. The Mississauga Train Derailment
Today it is now known as the Mississauga Miracle, as nobody got killed or died as a result of this accident. All 226,000 people managed to escape & survive.
