Do you want them to stick to the black leather look of the original Fox films, go with the subdued blue and yellow uniforms of the newer films, or be more like their TAS costumes?

Please no more black leather or the "bought off the rack" costumes from Dark Phoenix. Talk about lack of imagination. It was almost like they were embarrassed to even be making X-Men films. I would prefer a more toned-down version of the TAS costumes. What they did for Captain America and the rest of the MCU costumes could easily be applied to the X-Men costumes.

Since there are other heroes in the world they can do this. Their main reason for wearing costumes is to emulate the established heroes so people would see them on the good side (of course villains wear costumes also).

The thing that people seem to forget is that the X-Men are superheroes as well. They should look the part. They should not be running around in street clothes or team "uniforms" that look like they were designed at the last minute like an afterthought.

Nothing wrong with wearing costumes but Disney overdoes it. the costume wearing in mcu is kiddie, only their to sell toys
xmen is too grown up, they look pathetic in costumes.
marvel should worry more about telling adult stories of xmen than wearing costumes. this is part of the reason mcu xmen will be one of the worst movies we are about to see.

Are you talking about Disney animated movies or MCU movies? Because the MCU actually has more toned down costumes than the DCEU.

I'd want them to be as accurate to the comics as the other characters like Captain America.

I'd want them to be as accurate to the comics as the other characters like Captain America. I'd be happiest with this, but I'm also okay with them developing a unique style as long as it fits in with the preexisting MCU aesthetic.

Comic Accurate with more tactical add-ons.

Take comic inspirations but apply them to more practical outfits, I don't mind the more uniformed look but they should also have some type of uniqueness to them to distinguish everyone's individual look & personality types from one another.

Comic Accurate with more tactical add-ons. I made this comment elsewhere on a comparison pic of the MCU to the comics: "It looks like someone saw the person on the streets and tried to draw them from memory." Almost like simplified versions of the live action costumes.

How should the MCU X-men costumes look like? Like they respect the source material.

The color and costumes should match the character personality.
