This just came to mind , and may or may not be a recollection . Maybe there were , telephones
used on Air Force One (the US President's private plane) or by the billionaire Howard Hughes
in the 1950's . Or possibly , on airplanes in earlier decades too ? You will have to look up
a list of airplane movies to check it out ?!

Radiotelephones.
A radio telephone service that connected by dialing was introduced in 1964, the same year Goldfinger came out. Before that radio telephones had to be connected to the landline service by an operator.

It is in the shelter of each other that the people live.
