Why do the Pats get such an easy schedule? Because they also happen to always be in the worst AFC division almost every year. Only Buffalo is halfway decent in that division.

That would be the halfway decent Bills currently with a better record than every other team in the AFC not named New England or Baltimore? If they are just halfway decent, I wonder what you would rank the 6-5 Colts, Titans, Raiders and Steelers? Also, "always worst division in football" has been debunked many times over.

The AFC is shit compared to the NFC. Most of the teams are crap. Miami is the second or third worst team in the league. The Jets have won three straight but they're still a joke. Buffalo has a mediocre offense paired with a very good defense. That's why they're "half way" decent. They're the Bears with a slightly worse defense and a better QB. Hell, I hope Buffalo can beat them in their next outing but the AFC is pathetic this year. Even the bad NFC teams like the Bears would be killing it in the AFC if they had to play those heavy weights like Miami and the Jets twice.

With all due respect, do you realize how ludicrous that sounds. The NFL schedule/divisional rotation is etched in stone, years ahead. The home & aways are locked in. Years ahead. Next ppl will complain the Patriots keep winning Super Bowls because they're gifted nice perfect neutral fields to play on in February.

Β Next ppl will complain the Patriots keep winning Super Bowls because they're gifted nice perfect neutral fields to play on in February. He does not. He doesn't get it. He has been told many times how the schedule is created, and how the formula is the same for every team. The fact that we could predict 14 of any team's 16 games 4 years from now, including where they will play, just doesn't compute for him. But what do you expect from the guy who didn't know that the clock stops on a turnover on downs.

The AFC has defeated the NFC in interconference head to head matchups in a season 29 out of the past 48 years, with a tie in 7 of those years. So they are 29-12-7. 2. Since 1996 (last 25 years), the AFC is +62 against the NFC. 3. Just last year, the AFC was +4. 4. Since 1996, the AFC has won the overall interconference battle 15 times, the NFC only 5 times, with 2 ties. 5. Since 1996, the AFC is up 14-11 in ther superbowl. So though the NFC is better this year, to say the Patriots always have an easy schedule because the AFC is worse than the NFC... the numbers just don't back up that claim. It is especially ironic to do so in this thread, when the Patriots, Bills and Jets are a combined 10-1 against the NFC East.

They were at home, too. The clock operator must be a Cowboys fan, it sounded like at least half the crowd was. Aikman and Buck even pointed it out on the replay with the clock on the screen. It went down to one second and then just sat there on one for like 2 and a half seconds. Bizarre.

With the help from the refs in the form of a phantom "Tripping" penalty. But it shouldn't be surprising. Ever since Walt Coleman blew the call on the Brady's fumble on the Tuck Rule and reversed a Pats' playoff loss to the Raiders, seems every season the Pats are gifted a win by the refs.

"always worst division in football" has been debunked many times over. No, it hasn't. The AFC East is clearly the least competitive division in the NFL. In the past 25 years, every division except the AFC East has had at least 2 different franchises play in a Super Bowl. The AFC East is the ONLY division that has not had at least 2 different franchises play in a Super Bowl in the past quarter-century.The fact that the AFC East is non-competitive helps the Pats not only pad their record and thus get a better seeding for the playoffs but also keeps the Pats fresh for the playoffs since they don't have to go through the a grinding schedule and tough competition like other teams have to do to get to the playoffs and Super Bowl.
