I would still say that action scenes in Spider-Man is aging better than action scenes in X-Men, which looks incredibly stiff by today's standards. We all can both say the action scenes of spiderman and xmen are aging better than today marvel films. Spiderman 2 Far from home x-men 1 scene FFH is like a theme park The 3rd clip barely has any action scenes in it. Try again.

Magneto lifting cars, Jean stopping bullets. the action is just for a more mature crowd. 2000 was such a good time to be a comic fan. I can compare the action here to scorsese's Hugo. Today's comic book action is more like Theme park. really for the kids and icecream

MCU fans thanks for saying that scene had no action even though it did. action should also play second field to the story, this is why MCU is getting mocked in 2019.

thenolan omg are you fucking retarded? the older films were filmed to be viewed fine at 420 SD TV, that means they didn't include super hi definition to the films because it would not translate on film, you see this sometimes where in a BTS video they will show you a costume or prop with all the intricate designs, then you see it on camera and all that detail is lost, where as the MCU films like Endgame & IW are filmed for 4K meaning there is huge amounts of detail in those scenes which get blurred out in a 720 resolution, which considering one of your bitching points is "eh this looks blurry" that's the fucking reason why you ignorant pillock. As for the fight scene, yeah it looks mediocre by todays standards, which I mention because the fucking topic is about said fight scene and how good it looks, but it's very basic and paint by numbers, blockbusted I agree the choreography and action itself in Spidey 1 looks better but that's because of how limited that was in X1, the actual CGI for Spidey and aesthetic doesn't hold up as well though, but as I said it was aging badly at the start of the decade, X-Men's CGI was so limited and they used practical effects more which do hold up because well they are practical effects that's what they do, but say the Doc Ock Vs. Spidey fight in Spidey 2 I think from the last time I saw it atleast doesn't hold up as well as Wolverine vs. Deathstrike from X2, imo atleast.

I still think that train fight scene holds up quite well.

Oh and for thenolan if you still fail to grasp my point take a look at these SD and HDR comparisons of The Mandalorian, notice how the SD version is blurry and the details less defined, the complaint you make about the new marvel stuff, this is why.

I think part of it is that the train fight scene has much larger scale than that dam fight scene - and they came out in a similar time period.

I can't remember it so well now. I mainly remember it for that really dodgy CGI moment where Wolverine goes around one of the spikes on the statues head.

Damn, "X-Men" was truly a great movie, and it definitely paved the way to the new era of superhero movies. The fight between Wolverine and Sabretooth was terrific. Great cinematography, great coreography, great direction. You can see how this movie worked as template for everything that came after. And hell, the whole Mutant-Machine sequence was beautiful. The was the first time we see the classic Xavier vs Magneto chess. It was a great movie. no flash, all substance. Its very important you pointed out great direction. its severely lacking at this moment, everything is now all cooperate produced.
X-Men 1 made us marvel comic fans proud, it was daring to open a comic film in nazi camps and speaking of Nolan. Nolan saw this movie and realised he can make this type of comic films. Its too surreal that a lot went down with X-Men 1 but the best was yet to come with X2, First Class, DOFP and Logan.

As if Disney is the worst offender of this when Sony and Fox did a lot worse...
