But rather her son Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, who used the Force to bring her back to life and bring her back inside her Resistance ship?
If I remember correctly, Kylo Ren wasn't the one who fired the shot that blasted Leia and Admiral Ackbar into space.

It still would have sucked imo, it just was a silly scene, personally I would have preferred Leia hold back the vacuum of space when the bridge was shot up allowing for her crew to get to safety, then Ackbar refuses to leave and pushes her to safety as a sacrificial act as Leia passes out from the strain and he then gets sucked into space, the strain of using that much power is what knocks her out till the 3rd act, this would also foreshadow Luke dying at the end, plus Leia creating her own atmospheric shield to protect her people would look cooler than Leia Poppins imo.
Then also they could have had a moment between her and Kylo where she looks at him through the gaping hole in her ship as he witness's her power in action before heading back to Snoke.

Comments from Rian Johnson, JJ Abrams, and other PTB (powers-that-be) have all supported it was Leia using the Force.
