I actually don't think it's bad. I was figuring it would just be another broadcast procedural. I wasn't even planning on watching it, but a friend recommend I give it a try. I'm glad I did because I've ended up really enjoying it. The cast and mythology behind the show is really intriguing. Sure it's a guilty pleasure but a pretty well made one so far.

really is shitty but addicting. From the previews it looked like it might be a remake of the French series 'La Mante'. What is the premise? Is it about a cop who gets help from his serial killer father to track down a new serial killer?

Is it about a cop who gets help from his serial killer father to track down a new serial killer? Yeah. I wanted to like it but it goes the route of trying to make every scene the most intense dramatic scene you've ever seen. It's basically a crappy soap. The main character handcuffs himself into bed because he has night terrors but parks his bed next to giant picture window and you can guess where that goes. Everyone treats him like he's made of delicate glass, or they hate him and don't trust him. It also smells of mysteries inside mysteries inside mysteries that will never get answered before the show is cancelled.
