Some time ago I posted a post at the serialkillers subreddit about Ivomoku Bakusuba, an alleged serial killer from Burundi who killed 67 children, in the text below saying:
"Found this on the Columbine Massacre forum and decided to share with your guys.
" Ivomoku Bakusuba was a Burundian serial killer who confessed to killing over 67 children.
It was said that in the 1940s Kayanza Province inhabitants were panicked by Ivomoku, a serial killer whose information is very limited. Ivomoku was arrested in 1944, and during his arrest he confessed to having killed 67 children. He committed suicide, "probably in the late 1940s or early 1950s".
Most of his victims were poor girls and boys, as Ivomoku himself was a poor man from Kayanza, and he killed his victims by strangling them with a bedsheet.
The serial killer was revealed by 78-year-old police officer Marce Nbay Jean during a conversation with Brazilian Manoel Barbosa Tettoni. Marce showed Tettoni documents on Ivomoku." Source: Columbine massacre forum mention on Ivomoku Bakusuba
The earliest mention on Ivomoku Bakusuba seems to have come from an Scribd article named "Ivomoku Bakusuba:"
Now about Mohammed Soussi:
"Mohammed Soussi was a Muslim serial killer that operated in Wuyiling District, China in the 1970s.
Mohammed Soussi was a 23-year-old at the time of his execution. Soussi mostly killed relatives of police officers, and made them drink laxatives, to eat their feces, or their flesh, while at knife point. Soussi was suspected of killing eight to 21 victims. He was executed in 1974 in Wuyiling District by firing squad.
He was revealed after Wuyiling District police officers released secret information and a picture about him."
However, Ivomoku's entry at Wikipedia's list of serial killers by number of victims say: "As information on this serial killer was only revealed by a police officer in 2018 during a conversation with a Brazilian writer, and there is no information on his conviction, the confirmation that he was a serial killer is debatable."
Soussi does not appear to have his own Wikipedia's article.
I could not see all of the written text about Soussi in Scribd. However, I was able to see all the text in Ivomoku Bakusuba's entry at Scribd:
"Ivomoku Bakusuba
A overlooked serial killer
In the 1940s, Kayanza Province inhabitants were panicked by a serial killer named Ivomoku Bakusuba. Very little is known about him. He was arrested in 1944, and committed suicide, probably in the late 1940s or early 1950s. He confessed to police that he killed his victims with a bedsheet and confessed to killing 67 children. He was a poor man from Kayanza and most of his vicims were poor children. Mostly girls were his targets.
The information gathered at this page was obtained through a conversation with 78-year-old old police officer Marce Nbay Jean, who showed us documents on Bakusuba."
While searching "Ivomoku Bakusuba", I can only see his Wikipedia's entry and his name in a few serial killers fandom wikis, while searching Soussi's name on Google only shows a result from Real Life Villains Wiki. However, a little detail struck me; the Soussi case had a photo of the perpetrator. It shows the perpetrator sideways, and the photo is black-and-white with pixels in it. I'm not sure if it is legit though.
Now there's my questions. Were they real? Or was that Brazilian writer lying? However, Tettoni has a bunch of other writing material in Scribd, mostly covering crimes and stuff like that. What do you think?
