Wait! Wait! Got to have a video. Enjoy. I never fail to be surprised by the modern-day monotheist who doesn't regard magic as real, and especially with regard to Christian society in recent years. According to Exodus, did not the Pharaoh's court magician turn a stick into a snake? And the Magi knew of the birth of the Messiah through unconventional means. As I recall they were from the East, probably from Persia. Too bad PD isn't here to contribute on this thread. At the least, he could harp on any mistakes I make, or that which he perceived to be mistakes.

There's two possible questions here, so I'll answer both.
Do I believe in the occult? Yes. I believe in this type of magic because the Bible says that it exists, and that it is abominable.
Do I believe in fairy tale "magic?" No, I don't. None of that stuff is possible in real life.

I believe that the occult exists... I don't believe that it actually works.

Magic is as real as any deity humanity has imagined.
But anyway: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." (A.C.Clarke)

What kind of magic? Deistic magic/miracles? As a non believer, no. Human magic/supernatural abilities? No one has yet to beat the James Randi challenge.

I believe that the occult exists... I don't believe that it actually works. If it didn't actually work, I doubt that so many prominent personalities throughout history would have bothered fooling with it.

I am constrained to point out that the ungodly are fond of referring to the Resurrection of Jesus as fairy tale magic. Regarding the occult, don't you think that a person's intentions would play a role in whether it's abominable or not?

No. Polish magic trick. Don't try this at home. Sorry, Vegas. I couldn't resist.

I do not believe in magic, Erjen, as rationality tells that no one has shown magic in an environment where there is no chance of bluff. But I have gone through weird experiences in my life which I could not understand when it happened. But perhaps I was missing some info during those incidences.

Thanks, Aj. Good answer. A few months ago I saw something in the sky which appeared magical, but Blue Beam tech might explain it. I still cannot explain what I saw in 2014.
