Detective Pikachu, Hellboy, Captain Marvel and Booksmart are all contenders for worst.

Amongst the worst films of all time: 1. Polar - if John Wick was made by the bastard love child of McG and Rob Zombie. I truly despised this. 2. Rim of the World - embarrassing and incompetent in every way. Oh this one actually was directed by McG.
Terrible: 3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters - as loud and as ugly as it is boring. Disappointing after the well-directed, fun, colourful Skull Island.
Hmmm: 4. It Chapter Two - overlong, over reliant on silly CGI creatures and going "BOO!" 5. Pokémon: Detective Pikachu - found this more annoying than cute although I'm definitely not the target audience

I haven't seen anything shockingly awful this year (so far).
Most disappointing film I watched in 2019 has to be the documentary Free Solo. It was pretty dull, showing a lot of boring talking faces, when what you actually wanted to see was the climb itself. And despite spending so much time with the main character I really feel they could've explored his psychological issues more deeply.

Given that it was reviewed by critics like it was the second coming of christ, i am going with Knives out, this boring who-dunnit, had me nodded off every 15 minutes and i still didnt missed a thing. Who murdured grandpa? i couldnt give a shit! I don't know if it's the worst of 2019 since I haven't seen that many, but I agree with you about Knives Out. After seeing it I was surprised it was getting such high praise. I thought it okay, at best. I hated Daniel Craig in the Southern gentleman role, and I thought his accent was terrible.

Thus far, Captive State, Anna, and King of Thieves were real crap. King of Thieves may well have been the worst, although it debuted internationally in 2018. I did not see those other two, but other "lousy" movies that I viewed from 2019 would be Serenity, Escape Room, Isn't It Romantic, The Beach Bum, Where'd You Go, Bernadette, After the Wedding, Countdown, Doctor Sleep (which I viewed in XD, no less), and Little Women. Given that Matthew McConaughey starred in both Serenity and The Beach Bum, I would say that he suffered a lousy cinematic year, especially given that he had starred in so many quality movies over the previous several years. Frankly, I am surprised that I viewed so many "lousy" movies in 2019, but I guess that that is a testament to how many films I saw overall.

Both my choices were good/okay until the third acts arrived. Escape Room: billed as a horror movie, it was nothing of the sort Ma: the further this went along, the less sympathy I had for Octavia Spencer's character, or anyone for that matter ... true; I had forgotten about Escape Room, which I will add to my list.

Who murdured grandpa? i couldnt give a shit! Well, what did you expect from knives out? To think it would be anything other than just a run of the mill whodunnit mystery would be extremely naive of anyone wanting to watch that. Having James Bond and big name stars in it does not automatically levitate from being a clichéd done to death already movie.

Brian DePalma's aggressively amateurish and horribly written... A thought on the tagline of the poster: uh, no shit!

I added Where'd You Go, Bernadette to my list; it might have been the second-worst behind King of Thieves.

Replicas, such a horrible movie. Otherwise 'Rim of the World'.

To be fair, i avoided a lot of crap, so it might come down to the worst i've seen, and not the worst per se. I have to go with 6 Underground
