The Gunners are even more boring with Ljungberg in charge. Time to call in No.7 Send for Henry or Adams or Sansom

They should just go apologise to Arsene.
He might come back 🤷♀️

They were like strangers in that half. Credit to Brighton though, playing some nice one touch. Remind me of Arsenal a decade ago.

Vieira is the target. He’s doing well at Nice just now.

I remember when Arsene was waxing lyrical about how a top four finish in this era was as good as winning a trophy and got laughed out of town by the Arsenal fans who couldn't wait to be rid of him.
Well I bet they'd all bite your hand off for one of those "trophies" now. Looks a long way off...

Booooooooooooooooooooooooo! Nine games without a win. And what's even worse is it doesn't look like changing. They barely look like scoring from open play either.

Still wouldn’t take him back if he worked for nothing. Anyway, he’s on the Gravy Train now.

Arsenal can't leave Ljungberg in charge.
Discuss 🤔

The team are very much in need of proper guidance. The Vieira option would be a big mistake IMHO, they need an experienced manager, Benitez would still be my choice although Arsenal would probably have to buy him out of his Chinese tax situation. They need someone to give a 3 year plan to and some rebuild money and they will be a top 4 club again.

Thats one new manager/caretaker bounce that never even left the ground. Lundberg will never get a manager job after this week

Yeah doing really well...sitting in 14th position in Ligue 1, won two of their last eleven, lost to struggling Ligue 2 side Le Mans in Coupe de Ligue, conceding three goals in thye opening sixteen minutes, lost their last six straight away. Ideal Arsenal manager credentials.

Ideal Arsenal manager credentials. Yeah I was gonna point this out last night but didn't have the heart. His win rate at Nice is now about 38% after starting quite well last season. He recently described his own defence as "catastrophic" after the Saint Étienne defeat. But he may get them up again.

I think there is the bones of a good side here already but their confidence is completely shot. Usually when a team collectively loses confidence there is at least a structure, an identity, in place that the players can fall back on. There is absolutely none here. You can see quite clearly that the players have no idea how to get themselves out of this. Rafa would take it back to absolute basics and at least give the team a platform to build some much needed confidence on. Sign him up.
