spirituality.
Until then, the field will continue to be owned by big pharma, pollute rivers with toxic waste, pollute people with toxic chemicals, and pollute third-world countries with barrels of toxic waste.

Define "spirituality". If you're talking about ghosts, demons, and all that silly stuff, by definition that isn't "science" (can't be observed, tested, detected in anyway).
"Until then, the field will continue to be owned by big pharma, pollute rivers with toxic waste, pollute people with toxic chemicals, and pollute third-world countries with barrels of toxic waste."
Pretty much all those have to do with corporate greed and political corruption, not scientists.

Said it before : science will embrace spirituality when spirituality can prove its claims to scientific standards. The fact that nobody has been able to do that isn’t good news for believers in spirituality. That’s the fault of capitalism, not science. And it wouldn’t change one iota if we proved that ghosts were real.

I think you are confusing 'science' with the lack of environmental controls on big business. Controls put in place after research and analysis by scientific researchers.

I would argue they can;t embrace it since they can;t lab test it.
That said, they don't have the ability to dismiss it either. A lot of things of import aren't lab testable.

Science coupled with spirituality lies at the heart of much science fiction.

Much of Christianity has been about providing excuses to ignore or rewrite Christ’s message and instead of spirituality, they substitute fear and superstition. That's a valid observation, IMHO. That can change one person at a time.

I feel like you already started this same thread a few months ago... Anyone else, or is it just me?
Also: Science is not "a field," but is a discipline made up of many fields. I'd be curious to hear how big pharma owns quantum physics.

IMO, there's only one spirituality. Really? Like The Dao? Or Sufism? New England Transcendentalism? Swedenborgism? Mormonism? Native American spiritualism? Yes, they're all connecting to the same spirituality.

Science coupled with spirituality lies at the heart of much science fiction. But spirituality lies much more often than science.

Yes, they're all connecting to the same spirituality. How so? Don't they all teach connection with the 'One' consciousness? I think a few of them teach the Law of One, and that everything is connected and comes from one source.
