Best of the Decade (2000-2009): Leann Hunley (Runners-Up: Steve Blackwood/Tanya Boyd)
2010: Mary Beth Evans (Runner-Up: Judi Evans)
2011: Judi Evans (Runner-Up: Mary Beth Evans)
2012: Mary Beth Evans/Aloma Wright (Runner-Up: Judi Evans)
2013: Meredith Scott Lynn (Runner-Up: Judi Evans)
2014: Meredith Scott Lynn (Runner-Up: Mary Beth Evans/Aloma Wright)
2015: Judi Evans (Runner-Up: Meredith Scott Lynn/Alison Sweeney)
2016: Molly Burnett (Runner-Up: Patrika Darbo)
2018: Martha Madison (Runner-Up: Jen Lilley)
Honestly, none of these performances stand out to me. There's some weird recasts here (Judith, Robin), some old favorites who came back but didn't have anything too momentous to do (Ali, Christie, Martha, Leann) , and some of the standard recurrers that always are fine but didn't rock my socks this year (Susan, Judi, Laura) So, I dunno.
I'll go Christie Clark. I like anything that establishes Carrie dumped Austin and they managed to create a little arc out of what could have just been a funeral cameo. Ordinarily I'd love to reward Judi Evans, especially when this may be the last year we see her (though there's still Bonnie) but she really just did nothing this year. I'm going to go with Laura Kai Chen as the second one, I guess. She was brought on years ago simply to be the DA and they tasked (trasked?) here with a lot more this year and she rose to the occassion. With Haley gone, so too is likely her prominence, but I'd love to see Melinda's reaction to Haley's death.

WINNER: Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie Williams) Runner-Up: Christie Clark (Carrie Brady)
It blows my mind that Susan Seaforth Hayes has never won best recurring actress before or even been runner-up. Good for her, this show's use of Julie (the original Days ingenue) has been much improved of late.

She's one of the vets where her usage has been realistic and well done.
