So I checked out a film from last year called Air Strike. www.imdb.com/title/tt4743226/ Its a WW2 film. It actually only has a 3.2 on IMDB. That sounds rather odd. According to IMDB it had a 65 million dollar budget and has Bruce Willis and Adrian Brody in it. How can it be that bad. Well...it can. Normally here I would talk the plot but Im not sure of what that is. All I can say is that its about Japanese pilots and the bombing of Chongqing. The bombers are led by Bruce Wills. And thats about it really. There is not much more to say. The film plays random scene after random scene with little connection. Its really weird. Its like the film pressed a reset button between each scene. After looking the film up I found out why. The film I saw has a run time of 88 minutes minus the end credits. The original film had a run time of 5 hours! So Im really watching 88 minutes of a 5 hour film that Lionsgate dumped out because of a tax evasion scandal of one of the actors. That explains why Adrian Brody just randomly pops up in two scenes and thats it. Also why Rumer Willis is third billed but is only in the film for 30 seconds or so. Basically this film is as messy as a film can get. Anyone see or hear about this film?

I've heard if the movie.
A similar thing happened with Once Upon a Time in America. The movie is 4 hrs long, but the studio or whoever edited out half the movie for U.S. release. I think the whole movie was released in other countries the same year.
Roger Ebert reviewed both versions.
Edited version - 1/4 stars Unedited version - 4/4 stars

I remember seeing it for sale for a very reasonable price and, being a compulsive buyer of DVDs and Blu-Rays, picking it up right away. Then I thought "wait a minute. It's a movie with Bruce Willis, how come I never heard about it?". So I pulled out my cell phone, checked the reviews on IMDb, and quickly put the DVD back on the shelf.

I actually think that it is pretty sad that Bruce Willis is doing a lot of direct-to-DVD Movies now.
I myself think that he still should and deserves to be in More BIG Budget Movies.

I had seen this movie. It’s bad. Really bad. The idea of Bruce Willis flying a P-40 sounds cool. Until you see how dodgy the cgi is.

I rented it from Red Box. You're right, it sucked.

He might still be if he weren't a well-known lazy pain in the ass on shoots, that's why Stallone dumped him from the Expendables franchise and replaced him with Harrison Ford. Plus, he's not exactly the box office draw he used to be, and hasn't been for almost twenty years.

Someone's playing on Wikipedia. The page for this movie says Mel Gibson was the production designer.

I also fell victim to it. A few weeks ago I got it from Netflix and couldn't finish it. And that's rare for me.

Our master thespian was supposed to be the lead in this project ( www.imdb.com/title/tt3876910/) that featured Ben Kingsley and Ellen Burstyn, but backed out for whatever reason. Someone filed a lawsuit. The movie probably won't ever be made.

So was the film shown in China in its original 5 hour running time? I saw the DVD at Walmart but passed even though it sounded interesting.

He seems be just a grumpy man now.

You know your star has sunk when you're being billed after Zack Morris from Saved by the Bell.
