Actors who did not get credit because they never spoke.
It's not uncommon for famous actors to have walk-on roles in film/television, but if they don't speak they don't get credit. Usually, IMDB will have their name listed as "(uncredited)", but sometimes, they don't even get that.
I'm not sure that I actually saw who I think I saw, so I'm omitting their names for now to see if anyone agrees with me. Can anyone identify?
Case 1: In the show, "Weeds", there was a scene where Mary-Louise Parker drove to a warehouse for a drug buy. As she enters the parking area, a heavy-set homeless man in his mid-fifties walks by and stares at her. He never speaks, but it sure looks like an actor from a current ABC sitcom. His TV roles go back at least 30 years. He never gets any credit for this walk-on, not even an "(uncredited)"
Case 2: In the 1983 film, "The Big Chill", Sam (played by Tom Berenger) is a famous actor. Within "The Big Chill", Sam plays J.T.Lancer in a TV-detective series. At some point in the movie, the gang is watching the J.T.Lancer show on television. Lancer is a heartthrob with women lying next to him on a sofa or bed. One of the women is a blond with short hair. Who is the actress? If it's the actress who I think it is, her earliest IMDB credited role is 1984, one year after "The Big Chill". She is not as famous as case #1, but she was the lead actress (romantic interest) in a well-known, 1985 comedy.

Anyway, I once saw an episode of either 'The Streets of San Francisco' OR 'Kojack' (I think MORE likely, the former) in which one of the episode's guest-stars is making a phone call at a phone booth (it's raining in the scene) and outside is a person waiting to use it next. The person looked EXACTLY like Richard Gere, and I'm SURE it was/IS. NOTHING about on IMDb. He may OR may NOT have been in future episodes, BUT this was his ONLY scene in this and he said NOTHING in it.

Sometimes they can have speaking parts and still be omitted. I know Kate O'Mara was in CANNON FOR CORDOBA and had a few lines yet she had no credit and IMDB did not list it as uncredited (until I pointed it out).

Bob May was the actor inside the Robot suit for three seasons of Lost in Space. He also made the light blink when the Robot spoke. Dick Tufeld overdubbed the voice. I don't think either of them got a credit.

O.P. here. The two cases I was hoping someone would confirm are (A) John Goodman dressed as a bum in "Weeds" and (B) Dana Wheeler-Nicholson on a TV show within "The Big Chill". For those that don't remember her name, Dana played Gail Stanwyck, the female lead in "Fletch". 35 years later, Dana had a minor role in last week's TV show, "Emergence", which prompted this thread.
Gail Stanwyk: If I had a nickel for every one of Alan's fly-boy buddies who tried to pick me up, I'd be a rich woman. Fletch: You are a rich woman. Gail Stanwyk: See what I mean?

Trivia note: I believe she is also the great whatever granddaughter of the man who started DC Comics.
