really feel very insecure? I attempted acting twice recently and just feel like i suck at it.

I think it takes quite a bit of time to be a good actor. It's not something that happens instantly.

I acted quite a bit in college and community theater but that was a time ago. It has been about 25 years since I was last seen in make up. Acting was an activities when I did NOT feel insecure.

In high school drama class, I played "Cyrano" because of my booming voice. I did OK. The teacher was impressed. In later years, I've been a commander in the American Legion. Another job requiring a commanding voice to run meetings, and conduct outdoor activities.

The closest was when the class would read plays aloud in school. I do recall hamming it up with fake accents, so it did free me from my inhibitions at bit.
