Ravens get the win 42-21, and clinch the AFC North title. Another dominant win for them and they continue to look excellent on both sides of the ball, and I think Jackson will win MVP, and it looks like the Ravens look like they will get the #1 seed in the AFC playoffs. Their special teams seems to be an issue. The Jets continually had good field position from kickoffs and punts. The defense does seem to buckle in ways that a more seasoned quarterback could exploit. But that offense is ridiculous so long as Jackson can keep going with his feet and making those passes.

Jets put up more points than I thought they would but still got smooshed. Obviously you are a New York football fan. Can you remember a time where both football teams were this bad for such an extended period of time? I'm thinking late 70's was probably the last time both the Jets and Giants were this awful. I started watching in the early 90's right after Parcells left and had to deal with Dan Reeves and Dave Brown in New York and the Jets???.....well they were always the Jets!
But the Giants were never as atrocious as this during the Coughlin era. They finished 4-12 in Jim Fassels last year and then Tom came in and kept them at the very least mediocre. They had some stinkers, but 3-13 in 2017, 5-11 last year and now they are at Cleveland Browns level incompetence! I've lost track these last 3 or 4 seasons where the Giants had the lead with only a few minutes remaining, only to have the defense fail and let the opponents march downfield for the go ahead TD or field goal.
1973-1977 was the absolute pits for the Giants. They never finished better than 5-9. That was 5 seasons worth of failure, and right now the Giants are wrapping up their 3rd season of failure in this era. I don't expect them to get better in the next two years. The way they run the ship they will be lucky to see another playoff game in 5!

Were you too young for the Parcells years, or not even alive yet? For some reason, I've always thought you were an older guy. If you didn't experience the 80's Giants, that's too bad. Those teams were a blast to watch.

Those teams were a blast to watch. I was born in 1980. Didn't start getting interested in football until 92-93ish. So right about the time I am discovering the sport, the guys from the glory days of the 80's are pretty much packing up and heading out. I'm glad I wasn't around for the 70's Giants.
