10/10. Everything about it is simply amazing. Adam sandler should be a front running contender in the Oscar race. It’s an absolutely incredible performance he delivered.
Powerful, beautiful, intense, entertaining. Do yourself a favor and go and see this cinematic gem.
Uncut Gems. In cinemas now.

So glad you loved it! Unfortunately my cinema doesn’t get it until Christmas Eve make sure you go see it and on a day when you are not in a rush, and can enjoy the whole experience properly. its 2 hours 10 minutes but its Soo well made you dont event notice the time flying by, its like being in a vortex of wonderfulness and cinematic joy the whole time. there is no downtime and no off scene in this movie. incredible. and it Had to be Sandler who played this, for so many reasons.

I'm so hyped for this movie, one of my most anticipated movies I still have to see of this year. And that might seem like a bit of an anticlimactic statement since it's already December, but considering that I still have to see The Irishman and other movies that are yet to come out here like 1917 & The Lighthouse, I'd say it's in pretty good company. Unfortunately I won't be able to see it until the 31st of January when it arrives on Netflix here.

But I may be still slightly buzzed from the experience. But I am telling you I will be seeing this movie again - and don’t plan on seeing Irishman or Lighthouse again. But Lighthouse did have similarly amazing performances in it I give them that. And both movies keep the protagonists in practically each scene. Sandler had to go through a lot to make this movie. But he completely disappeared into the role, his finest acting to day (right after punch drunk love). It’s a really into intoxicating experience to de this movie. High stake adrenaline ride from start to finish. Very sexually arousing movie too. For many reasons.

The music itself almost gave me an orgasm. But there is more. It feels like... Blade Runner on coke set in the diamond district.

The diamond district really is a mind boggling world of its own; it sounds like the film did its mythology justice. Thanks for the tag, the other day.

How does it compare to their score featured in Good Time? some sounds are very similar sure, its the same guy, so lots od synth everywhere, but this one is much more lyrical, less cacophonic and less aggressive, more existential in the very poetic way first blade runner is, less dissruptive if you know what I mean. fewer tones less complex sounds, feels like somewhat simpler music but with bigger emotions. I am already on my third round listening to the Uncut Gems soundtrack today and loving it. It plays like a very profound retro love story to my ears.

Handsome Harrison and Beautiful Rutger, sparring off. The charismatic Hauer out charms the bland and slightly egotistical Ford. They were both 38 years old. But the set design on BR, the downtown Tokyo look fifty years from now, is a knock out display of surreal imagery. One of the rare movies that holds definite visual appeal for me. This is one movie that gets by on looks alone. And talk about a haunting score by Vangelis.

Just watched the trailer and it has convinced me that they don't know how to make films look appealing anymore. This is millennial perception of what they think works and these guys have marketing and creative arts degrees. They also tend to give out way too much of the plot. I can't use trailers as a gauge, but on your recommendation I can. Not sure when it starts Downunder. If it gets award recognition, it will likely get pushed. Sandler looks like he is channeling John Turturro.
what do you think the plot is?

The director/s hang out on 47th today at the pop up location and have an exhibit of the props there, and some of the people from the movie were also there. Told one of the Safdies how much I love the movie and can’t wait to see it again that he gets my dollars multiple times cause the movie is worth it. He was very nice. Laughed, took a photo and stuff. Great promo for the movie to be on location like that and talking to people...
They are there till 5 today if anyone is around...
