Many years ago, Cher wanted to make a film about their holocaust, with her in a leading role. Dave Geffen stopped the project. He was her good friend at the time. So???

My great grandfather was Greek and living in Istanbul. But this was before the 1915 - 1916 official Armenian genocide though. It had to have been in the late 1800's. But there was a similar slaughter of Armenians during his youth, and the family story is that he was mistaken for an Armenian and chased by Turks with machetes. A shop keeper let him hide in a large wicker basket. Now that you bring it up, there was the Greek Genocide which the Turks were behind in WW1 as well.

She escaped the Armenian Genocide by going to the United States of American to get married.

Now that you bring it up, there was the Greek Genocide which the Turks were behind in WW1 as well. The Ottoman Empire was infamous for its persecution of Christian minorities. The Armenians fared worse than the others, but other groups were targeted. Yes. Just like the Jews were the Nazis #1 targets, but, other groups were targeted as well, such as Romanies, etc.

What happened to those large numbers of Greeks and Armenians living in Anatolia and Asia Minor?
