" Police Report Oswald 'Cinch' Slayer Of JFK" " Dallas police said flatly today that Lee Harvey Oswald, a pro-Castro Marxist and former U.S. Marine, assassinated President Kennedy and they have evidence to prove it. THEY SAID HE HAD NO ACCOMPLICES." So.....less than 24 hours after Kennedy's assassination, this paper, and many others across the country like it, were already reporting that it was a "cinch" that Lee Harvey Oswald had assassinated JFK, and even more disturbingly (this early in the "investigation"), stating that he had absolutely no accomplices. The Warren Commission, which wouldn't finish their work for close to another year, had trouble nailing down "facts" like this, even after spending (I'm guessing) hundreds of thousands of dollars, investing thousands of man-hours in research, and still handing in a report with more holes in it than a huge block of Swiss cheese.....but U.S. news services across the country (apparently) already had it ALL figured out by the very next day..... www.huffpost.com/entry/john-f-kennedy-front-pages-newspapers-day-killed-assassination_n_4283342And just an aside, on the off chance somebody might know this.......what was the final (approximate) total cost to U.S. taxpayers for completion of The Warren Report? I did a quick search trying to find even just a ballpark figure on it, and couldn't find anything on this. Anybody have a clue how much they may have spent to complete it back in 1964? SAVE FERRIS

Meanwhile the Zapruder family made millions from the footage.

I've read more than a dozen books on the assassination and even corresponded with Harold Weisberg while he was alive. I am still totally perplexed over this IMO, unsolved case. Posner's book "Case Closed" was immediately refuted by Weisberg's book "Case Open" which is what prompted me to write to Weisberg. He replied to me in writing and I share his views.

You can bend the facts to make it look like I shot JFK (I was six months old). There an indisputable fact. Oswald shot a Dallas policeman, JD Tippit, minutes after Kennedy was shot. There were witnesses and he had the pistol when he was arrested. If Oswald did nothing, why shoot a cop? He would have fried for that alone.

I believe he did the crime, but was never sure about who assisted him at all, IE: the Jack Ruby angle, Was he a lone accomplice or was he perhaps tied to the mob? we'll never know.

If Ruby was to silence Oswald, why did he wait until the last minute to go to Dallas PD HQ? Oswald was to be transferred to federal custody at around 9 am. It was delayed for further interrogation .At 9 am, Ruby was home. At 10 am, Ruby was home. Strikes me as damned inefficient.
The Mafia angle doesn't fly with me either. No doubt the Mob shed no tears but they could have got rid of JFK more easily. Google Judith Exner. Thr Mafia could have got someone to run this story "JFK Tied to Mob Moll Exner". The fact that the President had an affair with a woman who was sleeping with the boss of he Chicago Mafia sinks his reelection in '64.

Mind you I am just trying to get a good response, which you just gave me. I used to be a big JFK conspiracy buff. But I'm 99% sure Oswald acted alone. Big risk in killing the President. Who, the Russians. No way. Castro? No way. Evidence gets out, Cuba is a grease spot. Mafia. For the most part, Americans tolerated the Mafia. That ends if the Mob kills a President. I will admit the Zapruder films makes it look like another shot. But that one on one side and a bunch of other facts on the other.

Ballistics tell the tale; Oswald did not fire the head shot. The Italian made Mannlicher Carcano that Oswald used could NOT blow a hole in the back of JFK's head from behind. I was trained as an expert in the US Army using the M16A1 automatic assault rifle. An entrance wound would be roughly the size of the .223 round, and the exit wound would be a gaping hole. Oswald shot from behind the motorcade. And don't get me wrong...Oswald was involved and he was indeed the so called "patsy". He was the "fall guy"!!!!

To my view, I looks like the front of JFK's head is gone. That would be the exit wound, right? The wound is facing the infamous Grassy Knoll, so in someone shot from there, the front of his head would be the entrance wound. To make that wound, the shot would have to come from behind.

Goodman: It largely depends on the angle of the trajectory. Autopsy photos show an entrance wound in JFKs forehead.
Jack Ruby's involvement in the snuffing of Oswald can be construed as a mob hit.
And I am still trying to get a logical explanation about journalist Dorothy Kilgallen's death, who was said to have had conclusive proof of the assassination just immediately prior to her mysterious death.
And David Ferrie? Another mystery...

Connally, who was Oswald's real target, Kennedy, "collateral damage". Yes, it sounds weird, but you might want to google it. Yet another of the 1001 loose working hypotheses concerning the JFK assassination.

Of the 104 earwitnesses in Dealey Plaza who are on record with an opinion as to the direction from which the shots came, 55 (77%) thought that the shots came from the area of the grassy knoll or the Tripla Underpass, was trying to come up with what question I would ask if I could have one magically answered about this case and I really can`t come up with anything. Most things are trivial, why did Tippit stop Oswald (what difference does it make, he stopped him and was killed by him), where did Oswald hide his rifle (again, what difference does it make, he hid it well enough to use it when the time came). Nothing comes to mind about the case that I have an overwhelming curiosity about.

1. The report of gunshots echo and the echo makes finding the direction difficult. I;ve been in hilly areas where rifle shots are heard in hunting season. You would swear that the shots came from the other side when ho know they didn't.
2. Tippit stopped Oswald because his description was already out. Tippet was sent to cordon off the area, he got the description and 15 minutes later, Oswald comes hustling down the street.
3. He never hid the rifle until the day of the assassination. Marina took the photos of Lee holding the rifle so she knew he had the gun.

the Mannlicher Carcano Italian made rifle used by Oswald was an extremely inferior weapon that even an expert would have not been able to be shot as And the autopsy photos of JFK definitely show an entrance wound in his forehead.
