You still have to market the movie. You think everyone would have rushed out to see his movie because of the three names attached to it? Also, it's on Netflix. If he was so legendary the movie would have gone to theaters. But it didn't, did it? And that was one of the things he complained about when it came to comic book movies. That they're taking up too much space in theaters for his movie. Hell, even on Netflix, I didn't watch it or care to.
So educate yourself.
Well, actually it did screen in theaters across the world. You watch dumb superhero movies, so you're obviously not the demographic that Scorsese's movies appeal to. Not domestically. I mean, that's the important place for it to be shown, right? In your "hometown". But it went streaming here and in theaters in other places. Probably so it can get Oscar contention. I watch all kinds of movies. And I do like Scorsese's movies. Just don't care to see The Irishman. You do know that happens, right? Not wanting to see a movie. Especially one that is 4 hours long.
Also, why are you here? This board is for superhero movies. Are you here just to call them dumb?

You get your advice from "dumb superhero movies"? That's ironic. Why do you have a problem with me calling superhero movies dumb? They aren't dumb? I have yet to hear an argument from you guys that proves otherwise, but all you can do is circle-jerk in your superhero bubble and call me names. For the record, I don't have anything against superhero movies. But adults who obsessively watch these things and take everything seriously maybe need a reality check. Who takes them "seriously"? We just like to watch them. The people that take them seriously are the ones that claim to hate them. Why do you think most people like the MCU over the X-men movies and the DCEU? Comic books are fantasy and they treat the movies as such. They tried to ground the other movies too much and it took the fun and fantasy out of it to make them "real". Yes there are feels and such in the movies, but the movies themselves are fun escapism.
Don't sit there and try to equate us talking about them and telling you guys that what you say about them is wrong, to us taking them "seriously". No movie should be taken seriously. Well, unless it's a snuff film.

That's the elephant in the room. If we all never watched another movie again starting today, we'd all be fine. I know it takes the fun out of film snobbery but a movie is a movie is a movie.

If you want to claim they're dumb then go and provide proof that they're dumb. You can't ask someone to prove a negative. I assume he thinks they're dumb because he sees so much of himself in these movies.

In a way, yes, we'd be fine. But that's the thing about escapism. It's a way to unwind. To get away for a while. Like a mini vacation from yourself. I think that's why the most popular characters are the ones that's like them and change into a superhero (Superman/Spider-man) or the powerful outsider (X-men). It's all wish fulfillment. A lot of movies are this. Especially action movies. Even movies like The Irishman is fantasy wish fulfillment. I think that's why Scorsese keeps making gangster movies or even movies with the same leads. Probably sees himself in that actor (De Niro/DiCaprio).

Truthfully the only people who like xmen movies over mcu are kids. I have never met any adult who prefers mcu over xmen or sony spiderman films. they liked the grounded movies. they don't look like theme parks as Scorsese truthfully says. Endgame is a joke compared to the much grounded DOFP or Spiderman 2. I think you are to desperate looking for MCU fans, MCU as a whole feels like an embarrassing franchise for and the Scorsese's attack is not helping them get fans.

MCU made Scorsese hate all CBMs becuase the media made them the face of CBMs. of all the CBMs they chose the CBMS that look like theme parks.

Why do you think people liked his Spider-man movies over X-men? The only thing that people did not like was Green Goblin's costume and Spider-man 3 (studio interference). Spider-man 2 being the most Raimi of the trilogy makes it way more comedic than any MCU movie because of Raimi's style.
Also, "Scorses's attack" incorporates all superhero movies. Even DoFP and Spider-man 2. He probably doesn't even know that Joker was a comic book movie. He probably thinks that it's simply a remake of The King of Comedy.

Sam Raimi's Spiderman were not like theme parks animation. MCU movies are. Sam Raimi made peter Parker a grounded character with real human day problems. MCU Spiderman belongs on Disney tv singing songs with Disney princess.
People as in comic fans were just glad they were getting good marvel films with spiderman and xmen , they hardly liked on over the other. MCU marvel movies are hatred everywhere. hated by even adult Marvel fans who are very embrassed that Disney has turned mcu too immature comedy.
Scorsese could have said what he said when there was no MCU. He got a lot of blacklash so he tried to generalise but his first statement said it all that he hated MCU movies.
Black Panther is still an embarrassing movie to Joker King of comedy remake.

Comic fan here since he was a kid. Have a collection of well over 12,000 comics...all eras, all publishers. I love most MCU films...so don't speak for me. But seeiing as I am as "qualified" as you to make a sweeping statement....people as in comic fans would think what you mostly post is utter BS

How about this...in his 1000+ fave films list the ONLY CBM that appears in Raimi's first Spider-Man. No others AT ALL. No MCU, no DC, no X-Men and no Dark Knight films...In fact NO Nolan films

Black Panther is still an embarrassing movie to Joker King of comedy remake. Black Panther is a true superhero movie. The first and only one to ever receive a best picture Oscar nomination. Every single person who voted for it was an adult with more knowledge of cinema than you. Joker is a remake? You mean it's not even original material? ... and it's not about a super villain? No super heroes? Just a failed comedian with mental issues. Why are we even talking about it on this board?
