Schwentke is sordid so nah. I actually really enjoyed Red. Avoided RIPD like the plague.

I prefer the pre-ninja Snake Eyes. The one from the first Gi Joe miniseries who was just a commando in a mask with a mysterious past.

What the hell happened to Ray Park? And if you're going to recast, why would you cast Henry Golding? Never mind the race change, could you not at least find an actor with some sort of martial arts background? It's not like there's a shortage of them.

Trust me, he doesn't have the necessary acting skills to play lead in a blockbuster.

How about Jing Wu (Wolf Warrior 1 & 2) then? Few things to consider: 1. I don't recall him in any major Hollywood production to really judge his acting skills. 2. He's just as old as Ray Park. If we were to consider him why not just give the role back to Ray Park? 3. If I remember correctly, Snake-Eyes is American. Now I don't mind casting someone with an Asian background in the role, but you do want to make sure they can speak English clean enough to pass as American - which I'm not sure Jing Wu would pass (I'll have to research on his youtube interviews to be sure). 4. In relation to #3, we don't need to cast someone who's Asian. IIRC, Snake-Eyes is actually Caucasian, but if we're race bending anyway then we can cast any race, as long as they have the acting and athletic (martial arts) ability.

Henry Golding is one of these upcoming newcomer upcomers that I don't really know the purpose of his existence. He's of the moment nothing more nothing less.

Yeah, he was rather dull on Wu assassins and his co stars Byron Mann and Lewis Tan stole the show from right under him. Even his Wu sword was more compelling than him.

I feel sorry for Andrew Koji and Iko Uwais. To be part in this bullshit.

I feel sorry for Andrew Koji and Iko Uwais. To be part in this bullshit. I had no idea that those actors were supposed to be above such films. Whatever gave you that idea? It's a martial arts action movie set in Asia both Andrew and Iko should fit right in.

And Iko Uwais should go back to indonesia. Where he can ake better movies.

Better martial arts movies maybe, but a lot of Iko Uwais other movies aren't even as good as the GI Joe movies.

Please don't make me have to wheel out the "he was hardly Laurence Oliver" line I really don't want to have to resort to that but you're giving me no choice here. As for Andrew... Again, I'm not seeing the "I'm too special for martial arts action movies" vibe that you're trying to bestow on him.
