I mentioned this before, but for the last Best of Decade Awards, because Recurring/Guest Actors were so less common, I didn't differentiate by gender and made it all one category. So last decade's winner was Leann Hunley while the runners-up were Steve Blackwood and Tanya Boyd. In essence, this means the 2000-2009 winner for Best Recurring Actress was Leann Hunley and the runner-up was Tanya Boyd.
Leann is a nominee again this decade, though I don't think she had particularly winnable material this time around or gave a great performance.
Here is this decade's winners for this category:
2010: Mary Beth Evans (Runner-Up: Judi Evans) 2011: Judi Evans (Runner-Up: Mary Beth Evans) 2012: Mary Beth Evans and Aloma Wright (Runner-Up: Judi Evans) 2013: Meredith Scott Lynn (Runner-Up: Judi Evans) 2014: Meredith Scott Lynn (Runner-Up: Mary Beth Evans and Aloma Wright) 2015: Judi Evans (Runner-Up: Meredith Scott Lynn and Alison Sweeney) 2016: Molly Burnett (Runner-Up: Patrika Darbo) 2018: Martha Madison (Runners-Up: Jen Lilley and Arianne Zucker) 2019: Susan Seaforth Hayes (Runner-Up: Christie Clark)

My #1 pick for this is definitely Judi Evans who appeared all decade in a recurring/guest capacity and played two very disparate characters. For the other two picks I went with Martha Madison and Christie Clark, two former lead actresses who gamely started appearing fairly regularly in recurring roles and let us keep updated with two former Days ingenues even when they weren't regularly on canvas.
Martha had very meaty material in 2018 as Belle (which garnered her an Emmy nomination) and I enjoyed this decade's dawning realization that Carrie and Austin really don't work and Carrie would be more interesting without him. Still, I recognize it's a little bit cheating voting for both of them, as both had roughly a year on contract too. I was tempted to vote for Susan for this reason.

I still can’t believe they killed Adrienne off. I know it makes an interesting storyline but it’s just wrong. I heard she will be back as Bonnie. But, I’m secretly hoping that she’s really Adrienne and that Bonnie was the one who died. Not sure why she would not let everyone know but that’s what I am hoping for.

But, I’m secretly hoping that she’s really Adrienne and that Bonnie was the one who died. Not sure why she would not let everyone know but that’s what I am hoping for. According to another post recently, the reason came down to Judi's availability or lack thereof. She has apparently made a career change becoming a real estate agent; so she isn't as available as she used to be or as available when the writers wanted her to be when they wanted to have Adrienne on. So they felt like this would be a good way to give the time jump more bite. I don't think they actively plan to use Bonnie more; more of a contingency, that if Judi is available and they want to bring her on for anything, she still at has that role for them to utilize.

I was just looking this over and noticed... I got this wrong. I said Judi got first and Susan got second, but clearly the vote says otherwise, they're swapped... Whoops! Congrats Susan!
