Marvel has always made it pretty clear that they aren't in this for awards. They're primary mission has always been simple, which is bringing beloved comic book characters to life and making entertaining films for the entire family. Other comic book films have different goals and aspirations, which brings welcome variety to the genre. There's plenty of room for both and no need to denigrate one or the other just because they don't share the same set of standards.
These films shouldn't be made to appeal to just a single group of hardcore fans. There should be something for everyone to enjoy. Seems like the only ones that don't understand this are the bitter insecure haters, and it's pretty easy to point out who they are.

Not only did Endgame get snubbed but to add insult to injury, Joker receives 11 Oscar nominations (most ever for a CBM) and becomes the 1st CBM to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar based solely on merit and not on using the race card. Yeah Joker will lose to 1917 in all categories they compete.

Why should Endgame even be nominated? It's a big dumb blockbuster but let's not pretend there's more to it, deeper layers etc. It goes for most superhero movies that what you see is what you get. By this logic, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King shouldn't have won Best Picture either. Yes, it's better than Avengers: Endgame, but both aren't hugely deep (I guess books were, but still).

Yeah Joker will lose to 1917 in all categories they compete. I hope not. 1917 was good but I liked Joker a lot better. I thought the Irishman would lead the nominees with volume but I'm not complaining about Joker. It wasn't the obvious choice. 1917's direction was very good and interesting; I'd put its direction over Joker but that's it.
After the Golden Globes, I'm less optimistic. There's no clear winner in the best drama category until you realize The Irishman, Marriage Story, and 2 Popes are Netflix movies. Joker and 1917 were the traditional media offerings. Of those 5, 1917 would have surprised me the most if it won, then it won and reminded me it's the safest choice.
1917's really good but I'd rather see Parasite, Joker or Marriage Story win best picture (in that order), though I think 1917 will emerge again as the safe choice. 1917 and Ford v Ferrari are the ones that'd make me say "sure, whatever". Jojo Rabbit's the black sheep in the group. I'm not sure I'd have nominated it, but it would be a very exciting and unforeseen win.

Didn't the actors say "Nah" to being nominated a long time ago?

It sounds idiotic. marvel like DC has comic book stories that could be Oscar potential. they only care about making immature movies for people who can't think. Before Joker, Marvel came close with Logan. that is not an mcu movie, so in truth, MCU movies are not good marvel films for Oscars.

If the types of films the MCU make upsets you because they don't meet your specific requirements, that's your problem. They aren't made for you. There are more fans out there than just you. Stick with Joker. It's more your cup of tea, since it deals with mental illness. Something you have a lot of experience with.

Kingpin is one. Spiderverse won for best animated film. I stick with joker for DC, I stick with logan for Marvel. where is MCU version of both? Black Panther? how does it feel MCU fans for you people to be embarrassed that black panther is not even a top 3 DC or Marvel film, the movie was only nominated because the cast is black. how embarrassing.

And the inevitable has sadly happened. The Marvel board has finally been reduced to nothing more than a battle between DC Fan and his equally one note nemesis, King Kong Bundy. Cupcakes for everyone! Actual productive and enjoyable discussion for no one! “HOORAY! At long last, Pinky, my evil plan has succeeded, and I have reduced the MCU Board to a blathering contest between DC-Fan and King Kong Brady. Isn’t it delicious, Pinky? Isn’t it delightful? Isn’t it de-lovely?” “Well, I think so, Brain, but now there’s no one left to have fun anymore.” “Nonsense, Pinky! There’s DC Fan, and KKB, and… And… Pinky? Pinky? Where are you going, Pinky?”
