I know itโs not a CBM, but they didnโt exactly give high scores to Charlieโs Angels.I think a similar thing happened to 'Black Christmas' as well. Yeah, it's a horror film, but still. I honestly think 'Ghostbusters: Answer the Call' might've been the only time that something like this have happened, though I'm suspecting that this resulted from the hostile environment that was surrounding the film at the time. Ah 2016, when we thought things couldnโt get worse.

So... critic ratings will be about 85% and audience rating will be 35% Could be the kind of film that only hardcore DC zealots would watch and rate it highly no matter what. Again, RT is worthless because all it does is reflect the agendas of those using the site. The same zealots that gave bad ratings to Black Panther and Captain Marvel.

None of the trailers have been good, so I'm gonna predict it will be rotten.
However, bad trailers =/= bad RT scores.

Or this year's Charlie's Angels? Or Black Christmas remake?

Speaking of which, Birds of Prey, Black Widow, Wonder Woman 1984, and The Eternals are all directed by a woman. I'm most likely going to support The Eternals the most because it could be one of the few gender-neutral big-budget films that is directed by a woman.

I think my biggest personal issue with Birds of Prey trailer is that this seems to be some sort of rude, punk girl power or something, which is not exactly something that I'm a fan of. Of course, I'm not going to judge women for dressing up like a punk girl or something.

Already? I thought it came on out the 7th? They always show new movies 1-2 weeks early. Its not that far away.

Hmm, take it or leave it. Close to what I anticipated honestly. If true, the extreme gore factor is surprising.

Don't trust any early reactions. Fan reviews will be low from those that read comics. I'm just looking for a fun movie.

If this makes as much money as Iโm sure WB wants it to, then hell we might see Robbieโs Harley Quinn joining the Justice League.

I have no idea what this is about but the poster alone is a genius riff on Botticelli's Birth of Venus (similar what BvS did). However this one turns out in the end, DC has re-defined and reinvented the genre again. I wish other venerable franchises still had this much imagination and artistic bravado in the tank, a good recipe not to end up as formulaic junk food.

You always have to take these early reactions with a grain of salt but I'm still looking forward to the movie. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it until at least the second weekend. I'll do my best to avoid spoilers.
