Less technology? More technology? What's to stop teams from tuning into their opponents transmissions? How does the NFL handle this?* I'm sure the Dallas Cheaterboys have been doing this for years. Fucking cheaters!

What about pitchers/catchers and 1st and 3rd base coaches calling audibles like a QB does at the line of scrimmage?
i.e. you use hand signals that only your teammates know
Also - You see some teams on the football sidelines hold up pictures of stuff like Hulk Hogan, Alf, George Jefferson - only that team knows what they mean.

How would that be any different than what they do now? If there's a runner on second or a dude in the bullpen spying, they'll see the signal and relay that information to their teammates.

More technology. Let the pitcher/catcher communicate via buzzers or whatever the Astros were doing. Come up with a basic code for pitches and location.

There's always the idea of playing the game honestly and straight down the line.

Aren't the signs in baseball between pitcher and catcher pretty much Universal? I may be off - but isn't 1 finger a fastball (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) - so you have 3 different versions of a fastball (hand signs) that only your team knows for that current game - or you hold up a George 'The Animal' Steele sign in the dugout which means screwball for that particular inning - or you can even break it down to lefty/righty at the plate - something along those lines - now that may seem like an awful lot of prep time and memorization; however these guys are getting paid millions and are supposed to be students of the game.

Whatever signal the catcher puts up, if someone is stealing it, they can only use it briefly before the other side decodes it if they're trying as hard as the Astros were trying.

Exactly which is why you have to have multiple signals signifying one pitch. Then you switch it up the next inning - got to make it hard for the opposition to decipher. Again - a lot of prep work - but this is the bigs/elite of the elite.

Jack McDowell now coming out, saying LaRussa was camera stealing for the White Sox in the 80's. He wasn't shy to point out how his A's were the steroid crew during the Bash Brothers era either. Again, it's MLB turning the other way at it all because money.
