It would actually be pretty stupid to have a complete cashless society. Yes cards are easier but there should always be possible to pay wit cash and you should always have some cash laying around in case of emergencies.
Yes i am going a bit of topic and i apologize.

Get their employers to pay higher wages! ahahaha That's an interesting point. Once food-service workers all start getting paid the higher wages they've been demanding, does that mean customers don't need to tip them anymore? that would be a nice world i would love to live in a world where tipping doesnt exist and what i see is the final cost to me. tipping is confusing and annoying. but i dont think it will ever happen

I think when you tip by card there's still a way they determine who it goes to. So its okay.

I don’t tip because society says I have to. Alright, I mean I’ll tip if somebody reallydeserves a tip. If theyreally puts forth the effort, I’ll give themsomething extra.
But this tipping automatically, it’s… for the birds. As far as I’m concerned, they’re just doin their job.

Of course, cow tipping will be unaffected.

Just like we do now. When is the last time you actually used currency to pay for something? I use currency for everything under a certain value and will continue to do so until the day I die (or cash is discontinued, whichever comes first). When I spent $30 at a restaurant, I want the restaurant to have my full $30, as opposed to the restaurant getting $29.10 and the fucking bank getting $0.90.

I don't care if the bill says Service Included, I am not sure that the money will reach the staff so I use the plastic for the reckoning and hand the waiter/waitress the tip in cash. You know a lot of times that doesn't reach the staff either, right? You shouldn't. Tipping is stupid and wrong.

I guess you could write it down on the receipt if you want to pay extra and how much. But it would just be way easier to just pay workers more so you don't have to tip anymore (as is currently done in many other countries around the world), unless the service/food was truly exceptional.
