I think the alleged sighting of 9 year old Anthonette Cayedito will always be heartbreaking and terrifying to me. Four years after she disappeared, a waitress in Nevada noticed a young Hispanic girl in the company of an unkempt couple. The girl would continually drop her utensils while she walked by her table, and then proceed to grab and squeeze the waitress' hand every time she picked up and handed back the utensils. After they left, the waitress found a napkin under the girl's plate. It had "help me" and "call the police" written on it. Police were unable to trace the couple and Anthonette remains missing.

Ugh too bad she didnt run in the restaurant and say "they are kidnapping me!"

Would have been her best bet.

I remember seeing that case on a show, maybe Unsolved Mysteries. Always stuck with me. The girl tried so hard to get attention, and the waitress didn't realize it.
